An amazing gig by Skindred, totally wowed by the band and so much more than what I expected. The venue itself is good, very limited queues, especially at the bar for what was a packed night so really impressed.

First time at The Guildhall. A lovely building and great venue for a gig. We went to see Robert Plant and his band Saving Grace and had a great time. Travelled by train and station is only 5 minute walk away.

The building is lovely and historical, unfortunately O2 have no care to restore it to its former glory. Couple that with being charged £15 for a single rum and coke and a can of beer. It is clear to see that they want to squeeze money out of people without delivering a quality service. It's a shame. I really thought O2 would bring something to the city ?

Great sound! I?ve lived this venue for years and got to see one of my top bands here last week! However beer at £6.50 should be from a tap, not a can.

It was my first visit to watch a band at this venue. The band was fantastic, the staff friendly, but unfortunately, the seats were really uncomfortable, the soft drinks overpriced, and the acoustics could be better. Upgrade your seats and don't overcharge for water when you don't allow people to bring their own, O2 Guildhall!

Overall good venue. If it is a seated event they use small chairs which are crammed together so there isn?t much room.

Love this venue and have seen a fair few gigs here now. Such a lovely building and good sound system and you get up close and personal to the acts you are seeing. The staff are always brilliant too.

Interesting venue. Almost like a large school hall. Great views even from the back, on the balcony. Decent sound, although I was at the Nottingham Rock City two weeks prior and that venue was superior on both counts. However, that is a smaller venue.Hot as hell though. I suspect this venue lacks air conditioning. That said, I really like this venue. Looks great, decent views and well located. My hotel was a 15 minutes walk away. Very central. If a band won't come to Plymouth, I would consider coming here again.

Originally rated 5 stars - saw Marillion here and the concert was fantastic, the venue is a perfect size so it's lively but still feels intimate enough. It's a nice building which adds some character to the concert. Updated to 3 stars after seeing Trivium here- the sound quality was really not great, likely a result of echoing off the stone walls; you could barely hear the vocals and the sound was distorted- it was such a shame that what was probably a great performance was hindered by the venue. Guess it depends what type of music you're listening to as to whether this is a good venue!

Great place, very dramatic - parking close by, close to town centre.

Good place to see live music. It gets really hot in there but worth it! There is a bar, toilets and some seating. Lots of nearby parking and restaurants. Worth a visit!

Went to see The HU on the 10/06/2023. To cut a long story short the band only played 3 songs because of technical issues.Very little information was given to us and Ticketmaster are refusing to refund my money.Disgraceful.

Made a nice change for there to be more than 1 bar open, even then you still had over a 30 minute wait to get served (£5.75 for a can of beer is almost tantamount to printing money)Why, for the love of god, when it is an O2 venue, and I am a O2 customer am I unable to get a data connection (handy especially if you need to access the Internet to get your ticket barcode).O2 are taking the piss, as always treating their customers with utter contempt. The Guildhall is a really good-sized venue. Over the years, I have seen wonderfully diverse bands. The only thing I would change is loose O2, bring back Coke! Does anybody actually like Pepsi Max?? Open up more Bars pre concert, reduce the Bar prices.

Editing my review. I'm leaving the review below as it's still relevant but would like to update following the rescheduled show.I was really impressed with the staff this time. Once again Mandy was awesome and made the whole experience so much easier. The security staff on the door were very friendly and helpful, they were really understanding about my medical condition and helped me out. The show was great and they had plenty of staff this time meaning the most I waited for the bar was less than 5 mins. Fingers crossed all shows are like this! The two stars are for Mandy who was honestly amazing. Approaching the gig she made what could have been a very stressful time much easier, thank you.The lack of other stars is due to being so disappointed in the handling of the show on Saturday. Fair enough technical difficulties happen but to leave us for half an hour without an announcement then finally give something really vague then leave us in sweltering heat with 45 minute queues to the bar to be able to even get a glass of water for over another hour with nothing was not acceptable. Then another vague announcement and finally a short acoustic, best, fair play to the band for pulling off that with enthusiasm. Surely the venue could have made that decision earlier?! There are so many ways it could have been better handled and it's amazing that more people didn't become faint. Some people were stood for 3 hours with zero band, hardly any updates and the music hadn't even been picked to suit the crowd! Had something roughly in the same genre been put on (anything rock/metal/folk would have worked) at least people could've had a chance but the random playlist was unrelated. As it stands, 2 days later and they've given no announcements or apologies. I hope that the reschedule happens and they update us at some point.

Good venue for live music ..sadly no crowd surfing!
