Having stayed here many times I found the service to be very hit and miss. So was hoping all was well when I arrived I am delighted to report a much improved food and beverage department with great staff and great new menu and quality food Outstanding service and breakfast following morning was also amazing with quality and nice touches to enhance the brand standard of Hilton Was nice to see the chefs both at dinner and breakfast talking to the guests This together with the quality rooms and beautiful bedding , it?s now back to its former glory Would recommend it most definitely and I will be back soon

The surround was nice and tranquil for what I needed. The receptionist was pleasant and professional. The smell in the area was nice. All and all it was good. The disappointment was the spa cafe. There was nobody there to ask anything. When I finally saw a lady and asked if the food layed out onto the buffet area is what we eat. I was told don?t know will find out from reception as we have 3 Christines ???!!! No surnames against the names. 45-50 minutes down the line the lady came back and stood there talking to her 2 friends who also came to the spa. When asked again she said yes we help ourselves to the buffet!!! The food was not nice it was like a salad bar. I don?t like cold food and if so sandwiches would have been better. There was lots of meaty bits which I couldn?t eat as i needed halal meat or vege bits. Nothing was labelled with What it had in it. I asked the same lady who stood chatting if the quiche were vegetarian. She looked at them said yes. So I put one of each filling on my plate. When I cut into it and took a bite I noticed a pink bit. I quickly spat it out. I showed it to my friend who said it?s ham. I?m a Muslim so ham/pork meat is NOT allowed. This is awful. How can someone be so ignorant and instead of finding out from the kitchen just agree with me. I asked other ladies what they thought was in the quiche. Nobody knew what was in it at all. It seems absurd that they don?t label what food is layed out. Whilst that lady wasted our time for no reason we had wasted time to used the facilities which we wanted to try. I wanted to go back with my husband next time but now I?m not sure. The food was a total let down and so was the cafe service. My husband wouldn?t eat the food at all as he only likes hot food. I think I?ll have to try a different venue.

Lovely Hotel, very nice welcome when we arrived and the room was clean, large very well laid out with such a comfy bed.We had accessible room and it was the bathroom that was the disappointment, my partner who is full time in a wheelchair couldn?t get to the wash basin, couldn?t reach the taps.There was room in the bathroom it was just purely down to being poorly designed layout

We stayed over the cricket weekend and our room wasn't ready to check into until gone 5pm. We have stayed 4 times previously at this Hotel and had a lovely experience. We were disappointed that the decision had been made to close the Lake View Bar. This meant that we had to book a table in Beefys Restaurant. This is a more formal Restaurant and quite expensive. The Lake View Bar offered a more casual and relaxrd dining experience. There were many guests unhappy that the Bar is now closed. When we arrived at the restaurant for our reservation we were told that there was no reservation made, this after checking we had a reservation by 4 staff. It was probably a blessing, it was utter carnage down there so we went back to our room and had an unplanned but pleasant meal through room service. The Bar gone has taken away a part of this hotel which many enjoyed. We were able to lunch on the terrace as it was a warm day but when winter comes it's Beefys or nothing. All this said the staff were doing their best and were polite and welcoming.

Paid £600 for two nights which felt very expensive Housekeeping very poor. Duvet & sheet didn?t fit bed. Toiletries out in bathroom. Requested reception to make changes but room not serviced on return. Asked again but just remade bed no changes made. Restaurant food very poor and staff inexperienced.

Having ordered an unusual breakfast omelette on the first morning of my stay, Chef Garfield went above and beyond for the remaining 2 days having my custom ingredients ready and prepped for my arrival at breakfast. Super friendly and helpful. Thank you Chef Garfield, your service was 2nd to none.

Room was basic, lacking any extras (minibar empty) and clearly the comments left that it was our wedding night was ignored. Stayed at hotel du vin night before and that blew the socks off this hotel really thought it would be better for the money. Positive view in the morning and breakfast

We found the hotel reception area to be very dirty. The toilets being quite horrific. As part of our stay we chose to eat at Beefys. Sadly this did live up to our expectations. We had a late booking due to travelling which seemed to inconvenience some staff who wanted to set out the room for breakfast.

Stayed there to celebrate my husbamds retirement in August. Room was overlooking the cricket ground, was extremely clean and tidy and very nice. Food in Beefys restaurant was exceptional, the service through out the whole stay was exceptional, with a special mention to the manager Sam, who took care of us through out our stay.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We had a cruise package with dinner, bed & breakfast and 15 nights parking. The welcome was very friendly and informative. The room was large and well appointed. The whole hotel was modern and well maintained. 3 course meal at beefys was one of the best meals we have had in many years. The restaurant seemed to be run by young staff, but all were very professional, friendly and attentive. Slept like a log in the huge and comfortable king sized bed. Next day the breakfast was in beefys and was a large choice if items hot and cold buffet style. Transfer too and from port was well organised and easy. We usually stay at hotels near the port, but this is very much a game changer and we will be staying here in the future. Just one disappointment..... we cannot stay for our next cruise in October as hotel is fully booked! Just shows how popular it must be. If you can, I definitely recommend you do stay here. And EXCELLENT stay, thank you all very much.

When we arrived it was very busy, everyone headed to the spa so we went to the gym. This was perfect as by the time we went into the spa people were off having treatments, meaning the spa wasn?t so busy. Beautiful clean facilities, great service, disappointed that the ice fountain wasn?t working though. The pantry lunch was buffet style, nice healthy options and lots to choose from. Treatment rooms, atmosphere, and treatment were amazing! Incredibly relaxing and would highly recommend.

My wife purchased the night away as a Christmas present for us. It was a Mia sold holiday the paperwork and advertising stated that we would have use of the facilities only to find out that not only did we not have use of some of them, like the spa, the others did not exist, such as a tennis court. The staff at the Hilton admitted that the advertising was wrong but blamed it on the website that we booked the stay through, I stated that Hilton would have had to agree the advertising for their product as the company would not have just made up the advert and used photos from Google to sell their product. We were told that due to it being a Saturday management and people who could answer this were not in until Monday and they would contact us. Six weeks later and we are still waiting for a call. On top of that when we went to our room it stank (-and I know that is a wrong word to use) of cigarettes. My partner wanted to complain but I convinced that I did not want to because I did not want it to seem that we were going to complain about everything as we had only just spoken about the no use and no existing facilities. But after having a shower and the towels all smelling of cigarette smoke I had to go and say something. The staff admitted that the towels smelt of cigarette smoke and when coming to the room also said how strong the smell in the room was and moved us to another room. Apart from this our stay was good, the food at the restaurant was really nice for both dinner and breakfast. It is just a shame that the experience was tainted by being mid sold an experience that my wife had paid a lot of money, more than the other options, to be told that yes it does say that on the advert for your stay but actually you can?t use it or we don?t have those facilities here.

Hi, the whole stay was ruined from 5pm I have come to the desk 3 times to sort the alarm and when we came back to the room at 11pm after dinner the alarm was still ringing off when we left at 8:30pm we asked for this to be resolved again for the third time, when David your night manager could see the alarm was still going off the only way to stop this was by turning off our ac unit which left us freezing cold all night it?s the middle of winter time, then at 7:30am this morning I came to the reception to sort my ac supply because we didn?t sleep properly due to being cold then you gave us a heater 3 hours before we had to leave which by that point we just wanted to go home, then a maintenance man came to our room for around 8pm evading our personal space then he turned our ac unit on which made the alarm set off again 5 minutes after he left which then he had to come back and turn our ac unit off again, we was promised a complimentary stay as our whole night was ruined this is totally not acceptable we have been lied to by your night manager David, we didnt want to attend our spa treatment due to our stay being totally ruined which we came to your hotel for a nice night this is not acceptable and a apology isn?t enough this needs to be sorted. I want a full refund!

Perfect overnight stay at this Hilton hotel. Everything from reception staff, bar / restaurant staff and housekeeping were very good indeed. Everyone was very polite and professional. The hotel was spotlessly clean and our room had a fantastic view across the cricket ground with comfortable beds and pillows, iron / ironing board, safe and tea/coffee. Very enjoyable stay only sad we couldn?t stay longer! Well done to all the Hilton team and hope to stay with you again soon!

We stayed for 1 night in July 2021 as our daughter is starting University in Southampton this year but hadn't really had the chance to see the city. I chose the hotel because of the availability of parking (we had a bad experience in Cardiff a couple of years ago!). When we arrived the corridor was full of trays that had been used for room service the night before, but as this was 3pm, I was worried that the room wouldn't be ready either. I didn't need to worry though as everything was clean and tidy in both rooms. It was a lovely quiet location for a stay and just what we were hoping for. We booked breakfast when we checked in and it was a pretty spectacular breakfast. Hot food was cooked frequently and brought out as soon as supplies were running low and there was a wide range of foods for those who didn't want a cooked breakfast too. All in all we were all very happy with our stay and intend to stay here again if our daughter gets in to Uni in August!
