Its a good shop but I find it more expensive than the other nearby grocery shops.

I visited the store on the 3rd of November around noon. I was scanning my items at the serve service check out. I scanned my items, collected my receipt and started to put things in the bag. I moved a few things to the side to get the heaviest first which were at the bottom ( I had quite a few items) .When finished security approached me and said ' you need to pay for the stuff in the basket'. I said I did and have a receipt and was reaching out for it while he looked over me and said ' print receipt for this till' to the person on tills. His behaviour was intimidating. I showed my receipt and offered him to check my bag. I don't think I've even got an epology , just a strange look the whole time. I should never be told to pay for my stuff without being asked to present my proof of payment first, simple as that. I understand it is about doing their job but there is the right way of doing it.The whole experience was unnecessary distressing and could be as simple as being asked for my receipt in the first place.

I recently had a highly disappointing experience at the Sainsbury's store in Portsmouth. On a particular evening, I arrived at the store only to find that it had closed 10 minutes before its scheduled closing time, 22:50 vs 23:00. Frustrated and in need of assistance, I approached the store window and knocked, hoping to get the attention of the staff inside. However, to my dismay, they completely ignored me.\\n\\nAs a loyal customer, this incident left me feeling disregarded and undervalued. It is disheartening when a store fails to uphold its commitment to customer service, especially during operating hours. I expected better from Sainsbury's, a reputable and well-established brand.\\n\\nI sincerely hope that Sainsbury's management takes note of this incident and addresses the need for improved customer service and adherence to operating hours. It is essential for customers to feel valued and respected, regardless of the circumstances.\\n\\nI genuinely believe that Sainsbury's can do better and regain the trust and satisfaction of its customers.

I love coming here.The security man on the door (when he is there) always says hello and bye to everyone that walks in, it makes for such a pleasant welcome to the shop.And recently I have encountered a younger lady who wears glasses and has red hair. She is amazing with my daughter (2 years old). She will come over crouch down and have a chat with her about what she is doing and my daughter loves it.Both staff members have gone above and beyond their duties, please give them a bonus!

My delivery was lost in track and I have phoned a multiple times to the online team, supposed to come between 11-12 but still received nothing at 4. One of the online team staff said its ready to delivered, the second one said its still in the store and not sure if there will be a slot available the other day. Suggested me to either phone the store directly or contact the online team the second day. I randomly phoneed to the albert road store which I believed a very helpful staff called Aymond answered the call, it took him some times to try to track my order and find the correct store to contact, also suggested new method to solve the problem. Very polite and helpful compared to the staff who I called later. I still like to shop in Sainsbury's but may do the store instead of online shopping now.

I shopped in here today and put thru too many bags on self service. I asked an assistant to help and she shouted at me to press a button but i wanted help with deleting the bag. She would not come over and help me. Another lady did help and i asked to speak to a manager to complain. While i was standing there the assistant was still shouting at me Oh you are still standing there then she was shouting at me. The manager came and apologised. I will never shop in here again

Shuts at 10-2-11 when says on window shuts at 11 unhelpful not happy ran to shop last minute not ran for 20 years go to tesco very helpful there and stays open till 11 ð???ð?? if I could post without putting a star I would

This is the most convenient Sainsbury for where I live and I'd forgotten why I never go there. Miserable, unhelpful staff.
