A tawdry shop, like stepping back into the 1970s, shabby and unpleasant. The pharmacist I spoke with was both lacking in knowledge and officious, tried to sell me a drug that wasn't indicated just because it was the most expensive.

Small young woman on the chemist till this afternoon, she seemed to have a bit of an attitude from the get go and had no desire to help figure out why my Online Doctor order hadn't come through (if there had been a computer error or something else etc), it was as good as "We don't have it, bye" and she just shrugged her shoulders and just stared at me like I was an idiot. The order being missing wasn't really an issue as I'm in no rush for it but the way she spoke to me, there was absolutely no need and I was close to tears. I had my two young children with me. Colleague with long hair and glasses who took over was much more sympathetic and helpful and seemed willing to try and help at least. Other woman needs to work on her customer skills and sort her attitude, won't be using this Boots again solely because of her and her stinking attitude.

Staff at the Hearing and Optical Department Reception Desk need to be reminded of their reason for employment. Perhaps they need to be educated regarding Customer First Quality Assurance.

On the rare occasion they have what I want in stock, it is behind the counter next to pharmacy part of shop. This section has two tills but no one on them. I have stood there for over ten minutes before waiting for someone from the pharmacy to serve me. There is always someone at the till at exit which is pointless if you want anything from behind counter. If they are going to hide stock behind the tills, then the tills should be staffed.

Absolutely awful pharmacy! Electronic prescription was sent here for my toddler. Been calling all day today to see if they have an antibiotic in stock for my poorly toddler as they never have anything in stock. I checked with another pharmacy to see if they had the medication and they said they did. I wanted them to release the prescription back into spine so I can get it elsewhere. Not once did they pick up, I even went to the store and spoke to the person at the till to ask if the phones are working and they said they are. The pharmacy staff were all on break when I went into the store. It?s just unacceptable that they did not pick up one phone call today. I will be changing pharmacies as soon as I can!

Went to the pharmacy in boots and got told we are not quite ready yet so I hung around and lady staff member told some one else that it would not be open until 14.00 hours and this was at 12.00 so how can we are not quite ready be two hours so I'm looking for a new pharmacy near parmaston Road

Worst pharmacy experience every. Have gone 3 times to pick my prescription still haven?t received it a new excuse every time. Worst pharmacy staff ever and lazy people in the pharmacy. Unorganised and unprofessional.

Every Time I try to buy something from this Boots, it is pretty impossible. The staff is missing or non existent creating long queues of unhappy clients. Apparently you have to ring the bell for someone coming and helping you, which is not the best customer service you would expect. Won't be back.

Boots is a well known shop in the UK without doubt. In most stores, you will find pharmacy service. I have visited the shops in different counties several time these few months. Their staff is helpful. However some shops the internal 'environment' (decorations) is dated (or the maintenance job is properly done).Recently I went to a shop for eye drop for tackling minor infection. When I told the staff I had tried the one that it is displayed and would like to try other one, the staff told me of the infection does not completely cured then I should see a GP. She is very polite and her suggestion is reasonable. Yet it is a very different experience from the place I come from (an Asia city). We would have st least score of choices of almost all nonprescription medicine. But only few dispensaries will provide pharmacy service. Nevertheless I wonder if this is logical (not reasonable) to just keep a single product unless all other brands the ingredients are exactly same.Sometimes I found some products are out if stock in the shelves. This gives a not-so-good image od the store management. Nevertheless this may be due to short of manpower. Also this may be the reason of closing the store for lunch break; to me (again being as a non local and with little experience in biz) this is an 'amazing' arrangement. :). Anyway, Boots staff is helpful.

Very bad service. Signed up to them. First prescription I went to collect they said they hadn't received from doctor. They then said it arrived that day but when I got it date on meds it had been made up 3 days before so they lied. Went to collect script today as told it would be ready by 2pm. Went in at 3.30 and not ready.

Collected my medication and when i got home , I checked my repeat prescription and only to find out that the prescription was for another prescription I had for my eyes in 2021.

Pros: very well located, easily accessible from any place in Southsea. One of the staff (young lady from Eastern Europe) is extremely nice, professional and helpful.Cons: notoriously understaffed and most of the people working there (save for the aforementioned lady) are not very proactive. It is so severely understaffed that they often have to close the whole branch down early.
