As a member of the Hayling Legends car club, I've visited the Newtown House Hotel every Wednesday evening in the summer and on the first Sunday morning of the month in winter. The drinks are well-priced and the food is always excellent and good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful and the Hotel has a nice feel to it.

BE WARNED!!!!!!!! A clean hotel with lovely staff BUT you will be completely unable to sleep until after midnight when there is a wedding here. I?m currently listening to a thundering bass-booming shouting ?singer? wedding band. I?m not part of the wedding party and had no idea it was happening was not warned by the hotel on booking and I?ve been placed in the family room ABOVE THE PARTY!!!! My 3 year old took until 10pm to finally crash, upset, and my 5 year old is currently crying at 11pm and begging me to make the noise stop. It is unbearable - I recommend staying in a hotel that you can actually sleep in. To the hotel; it is morally corrupt to allow bookings in this room unless you have rung the people who have booked to check A) they know there is a wedding on and B) their family room is above it and they will not be sleeping AT ALL until gone midnight. I came for a quiet night away with the kids ????. Disastrous.

Really enjoyed working here as the official wedding photographer for Alina and Andrew. Fabulous local hotel and very supportive helpful staff.

Can't ask for a better place to visit. And we are hiring the hall for a regular mind, body, and spirit events throughout the year and 2024. And the staff are brilliant.

We had afternoon tea, which exceeded our expectations. The lady that served us throughout was friendly and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon tea itself was outstanding, good choice of sandwiches, scones and cakes.....I will certainly be returning.

At £150 for a small twin room with basic facilities, no breakfast, this is overpriced. Staff are friendly and location is good. Unfortunately the night we stayed there was a wedding on and the noise was loud until late at night. Not their fault but I think they should have let us know and maybe not put us in a room next to the party.

Absoloute gem, and a bargain.Flawless for location, price, cleanliness, friendliness, and comfort. The bar and courtyard area are stunning, as is the hotel. There's a load of free car parking to the rear. The building itself is quirky and quaint. The staff are accommodating.Rooms are more than comfortable, clean, airy, and turned down daily. Will definitely be back, and I will be my default hotel on Hayling going forward.Rooms: I stayed in a single room, which was light, airy, spotlessly clean, decent temperature and the bed was comfy with ample pillows and sheets. The shower was spot on, too... not one of those hotel shower roulettes that can either be tepid or flay your skin off.Nearby activities: Well... It's Hayling! The hotel is 10 mins stroll from Funland (then on to West Point)... across the road from the Barley Mow (carvery), and round the corner from West Town/Shops... down the road just a couple of miles or so in one direction is the Portsmouth foot ferry and in the other is access to haylings South Beach and Eastoke seafront. Definitely recommend following the Hayling Billy Trail from Westown up to the tip of the island.Walkability: 10 mins Beach. 4 mins West Town, 20 mins Eastoke, 30 mins Mengham.

Found this little hidden gem on the Island. Super nice and friendly staff with a lovely beer garden. This will be our new favourite place:)

We had a funeral wake here. Very nice staff, extremely respectful and helpful. A very relaxed location considering where it is. Good parking.

A decently priced hotel that is a 10 minute walk from the beach and amusements and small fairground at Hayling. The rooms do what rooms do without fancy trimmings. Very clean and tidy and towels provided. The hotel has a decent sized bar and restaurant for evening meals and breakfast. There is also a lovely room that can be hired out for functions, and there is plenty of parking. What staff we saw were smiling, pleasant and always helpful.
