Can't thank the people at MIND enough for the moral support alone. You guys became a lifeline and big support. After getting a diagoses last year and being completely let down by NHS services and government, I found it a huge struggle to find ways of coping.I've got a recovery plan after having an assesment and even though not in the area anymore, I can access the services and wellbeing groups online which makes a HUGE difference to someone's life when things become unstable and there's no other resources. If anyone is ever struggling with mental health and not sure where to turn, give the staff at MIND a try.

I can not believe Rowena Dodds still works for an offshoot of mind and has been accredited as a therapist for mental health.I reported her many times for the way she spoke to me when I first met her. Mind assured me that she had been removed from seeing and interacting with people struggle with mental health issues. Clearly she was simply relocated. When I attended an appointment for the first and last time at what was then the Wellbeing Center in Fareham it was Rowena I saw.Right from the outset she had a bad attitude towards me.She asked me to answer a questionair that Vivid housing association had drawn up in order to determine if someone had depression. As I was there because of vivid housing association having caused me PTSD, OCD, GAD and asthma due to living in disrepair for 23 years without heating and hot water for a number of years. Being harrassed by them, them using a horrible neighbor against me ,environmental health and the police because I complained. I didn't want to answer the questions.I raised my daughter in a mouldy and damp house with leaks, and a bath coming through the toilet ceiling. And the hallway ceiling fell in. It's still happening!Vivid homes rent homes and are not mental health experts. They have a bad reputation. The only reason Rowena was pro vivid was because vivid funded the well-being center and the well-being center manager resided on vivids board of governors. In fact he lied to me and claimed there had never been any complaints against vivid housing for discriminating against their own tenants and mental health. No complaints against them for causing major mental health issues. Not true! Vivid housing are notorious for it. All housing associations across the UK are. Environmental health told the same lie on vivids behalf and have never procecuted them .Either way they shouldn't be making up questionairs to determine mental health.Rowena then told me if Nelson Mandela could forgive his oppressors for locking him up in prison so could I.Rowena told me I was ungrateful and didn't deserve my rotten roof over my head because vivid housed disabled people. Funny that because I thought mental health was a disability.Vivid create disability and discriminate against disability. They think their tenants are gutter rats. And like Jimmy savile the only reason they get away with causing trauma via abuse is because they give financial donations to government and charities. They buy a public face and greedy organisations turn a blind eye and even lie for them. Vivid have now made alliances with the NHS as stated on their website and explains why the NHS in particular GP staff behave like vivid and environmental health staff.Rowena is also a Bob Marley fan and had "SMILE" on her child like, rainbow pencil case. If I had seen that back in the 90s when I was suicidal I would have probably left a lot worse off.Rowena gave me the impression that she has never experienced any form of mental health of hardship. Rowena gave me the impression that she had, had no personal growth in her life to be able to understand other people . She gave me the impression that she was imature and irresponsible with her words and taking risks with people's mental health. She told me that if I couldn't leave all my issues outside the door she with all her credentials and the well-being center couldn't help me. Hmm! That was possibly the only thing she was right about. They can't help people with mental health issues because they are not mental health specialist. Rowena should never have been acredited as one because she's a danger to people with mental health issues. She's charging £70 an hour online and apparently she is a specialist in what must be about 30 areas of some serious mental health issues including autism. That's a worry! When I was leaving the well-being center I asked Rowena if she had a number for advocacy and she said they did but not for someone like me they didn't. Hey Rowena discriminates like vivid housing does. Not sure Nelson Mandela or Bob

Update 2: Feb 2020: Today I was told by Mind that although I have been on the waiting list for my course for over a year, I am now required to attend at least two other courses before I will be allowed to go on it! Even though my GP referred me for that specific course which I was on the waiting list for! Had enough now. I give up. Mind are the most unprofessional, unreliable organisation, that I have ever dealt with. Going back to my GP for advice.Update: It has now been OVER A YEAR that I have been waiting for Mind to run the course, having originally been referred there by my GP. It makes you wonder where all the money goes that Mind take in their charity shops? Not on running my course, that's for certain!Hopeless organisation. I have been on their books since December last year and I am still waiting for the course I am supposed to be going on to run. Every few months I get fobbed off by them saying that they haven't got enough staff to run the course. I have been waiting over 8 months, absolutely disgraceful.
