walked in this morning & stood in the queue for 10 minutes at the front desk ...Spoke to the lady & told her I had a rather large cheque that I needed to put into one of my accounts ( I mean large ! ) Was told to go to the business desk & they would do it for me because of the size of the payment, spent 20 minutes there with no one on the desk , bloke turns up & eventually serves the 2 people in front of me ( by now I have been in the bank for nearly 40 minutes) I show the cheque to the bloke & said to him " I was told you could help me with this" .."who told you that" was hs rather indignant reply ...went through the story with him .."There is a machine over there you can do it on " ....I said have you seen the size of this cheque, take another look at it" .." machine will do it "was his reply again.... I swore at him & walked out , I will now be taking all my business elsewhere & closing all my accounts ....Hopeless service !!!!!In rsponse to your reply :Your bank is not fit for purpose & does not support my banking needs anymore, you closed the Waterlooille branch where I used to live, at least they had staff to serve you at a counter not just machines ! ..... I don't use X or instagram for that matter either ...I'm not tweleve years old ...Pathetic !!!

Barclays Bank as a whole is without doubt the worse bank in the country, constantly trying to push us to cashless aided and abbeted by young kids in back offices allover the country working from home, it's a national scandel that Barclays can treat people the way they do.

My wife and I saw the staff on Tuesday 20/02/2024 to try and organise our accounts.We thought this was going well until they have closed my wife?s account and our children?s savings account and lost us over £700!!!!I have tried speaking to the staff at the branch but as my wife is unable to attend the branch at their whim they refused to speak to her on the phone. They said to call their helpline after she finishes work which we did, but because they closed her account without permission and in error, they won?t speak to her on the helpline either!!!!!!!ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE AND A RUBBISH ATTEMPT AT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

I paid a visit to this branch this morning with a simple query in regards to my credit card, I queued up for while and was spoken to the by chap at the entrance which I had witnessed being very impatient with a lady in front of me, who had trouble understanding her on line banking app, this Barclays member of staff kept looking at me and rolling his eyes. I then was served by this same chap who greeted and served me with with what I can only describe as an argumentative attitude, to then be told to take a seat whilst he attempted to deal with another customer in the same line I had just queued up in, I was then ignored. I decided to take my business to a different branch elsewhere in the hope their customer service would be much more helpful.

Went to open an account for my son as he's just started a weekend job.Asked the assistant at reception if we could book an appointment to open the account. She said there were no appointments available on Saturday or next week.Advised to go on the barclays banking app to book a video appointment. She then spent the next 5 minutes trying to find it on her barclays tablet. After failing to find it, she then called over another assistant, who then tried to find it on her tablet but failed.My son said, "Perhaps you should Google it," where upon one of the assistants said she was just going to do that.After about another 5 minutes, they still hadn't resolved the problem.All the time, this was unfolding. There was a third assistant who sat at her desk not dealing with anybody.

Generally the staff were so rude and they didn't care to help you. We had an appointment to open a simple bank account with Kimberly. But from the beginning it seemed that she was tired to do her job and tried to mess with us by saying you don't have the correct verification of address. She tried multiple times to send me to another bank to have a statement from there and at the end she said I have some appointments but it's ok to come back after. When we had the correct document, she said you have to book another appointment which will take 1 month. She didn't mention this from the beginning as she said we could come back. Kept insisting with an attitude and she seemed to be racist too. Avoid Kimberly and especially this branch!

Worst experience ever in a bank branch- Fareham High Street Barclays. Staff are inconsiderate, rude and very inefficient. No consideration for customer service, very disorganised and terrible work ethic. This one is a MUST CLOSE! Zero stars!! This bank is a dark night when it comes to customer experience!! AvoidHad amazing experience at Barclays, Portsmouth.

Always find the staff very helpful. Rude customers though. Waiting time for more advanced issues are a problem though. Lots of elderly who can?t use technology adds to this burden.

Wanted to open a Child's saving Account. Went to branch to make a appointment. Was to to call Customer service can't make appointments in store. Today I called to be on phone for 50mins until someone answered. Saying they have no appointment available at all for the year. What a waste of my time. Lost our custom.
