I wouldn't buy from here again, I bought a white unit with no marks on. When I picked it up there is a big chip in the side. It wasn't like that when I paid for it because it won't of bought it otherwise! Well at least british heart foundation have got their money at the expense of people who don't have much!

It's cheaper getting a suite from harrods?supposed to be a charity.how nany staff are on the payroll.managers salary.how much etc.lets see how many are on wages.being run like a business buying cheap furniture from house clearance business through the back off vans and selling them through the shop.dusgracefull.thought it was a charityuts being run ike a new business shop.you should be able to offer s sensible price and should accept it.whoever prices the furniture is totally out of control.far too dear for a supposing charity shop.

I bought a sofa for £95. Within ten minutes of delivery two legs had fallen off.

Waited in for a collection of a 3 and 2 seater sofas, when the guys arrived they turned them upside down looked at the labels, no batch number on the 3 seater but one on the 2 seater, the batch number covers the whole suite but they refused to take it, when the lady from bhf rang me she said is there fire labels on which there is, anyway this will be the last time we donate anything to bhf, the lads obviously don't want to carry a sofa in this hot weather.

forgot to review this place.i brought a leather recliner sofa from here a while ago, and it was the best decision i made. the sofa is the most comfy sofa i have sat on and its my first recliner too, i would never settle for a none recliner ever again, recliners are so comfy!they delivered to my flat, and bear in mind recliners especially leather ones are very heavy. they carried the leather recliner up some narrow stairs to my flat, then assembled it. its a heavy sofa and they do this voluntary, you dont get that kind of dedication and risk to self anywhere else voluntary and even paid sometimes people wouldnt do that.

Thought we?d do a good thing by donating a 2k couch but because it had manufacturing holes for screws, refused to take. Came like that 18mnths old. Absolutely ridiculous as would have been snapped up. Shame on BHF. Cancelled my charity subscription

Arranged a collection for a piano, waited 4 hrs for collection after not being given a time slot or the drivers calling. We were told that the drivers were unable to take a piano down a doorstep because of the weight... we accepted that the delivery guys were probably a couple of wet flowers with no strength, bless them...so my partner moved it outside for them on his own. ?Continued to wait with no contact, we were told they had taken down a wrong number for us, but we had subsequently phoned 4 times and visited in person and still we weren't given a time slot. Now after having taken the day off work we also have a perfectly good piano waiting and getting rain damage in the side yard....brilliant work! Now I understand why their google review ratings are so low. Unprofessional and incompetent, we won't be donating or purchasing again.

I have just give them a call to donate a sofa which is in a very good condition as we don't smoke and we don't have pets. I was told on the phone if it's no label they cannot take the sofa? Whaaat? I'm donating (give it for free), a sofa in a very cood condition that I personally have used, I'm not a store to keep the labels on the product or the packaging! This is ridiculous as being the 4th store and everyone has an excuse for not accepting the sofa, including yours.Answer: yes it has the fire labels as mentioned on the phone and the orginal label of the sofa too.

Booked a furniture collection. They confirmed date of collection. Phoned in morning to say they would be there between 3-6pm. Waited in for 3 hours (not my house), phoned various times but they would not answer phone. Left at 6pm as had other commitments, they called at 6.20pm to say they would be there soon. No apology or anything, was pointless at this time as could not go back and had already rearranged my plans to be there from 3-6pm. You try and do some good by donating and just gets thrown back in your face! USELESS!!!

I bought a writing desk/bureau at the Mesnes Street shop, and was told it would be delivered the following day. I was also told the delivery men would phone me shortly before they were due to arrive. The next day I received a phone call at 11.25am telling me my delivery would be with me within 45 minutes (by 12.10pm at the latest). When it had not arrived by 1.10pm, I phoned the delivery men, who told me they had been delayed, but would definitely be with me within the next hour.A further 90 minutes passed, and no sign of my delivery. I phoned again, and was told my delivery would now be after 3pm.It finally arrived at 3.10pm - a full 3 hours and 45 minutes after they had phoned to tell me they were on their way.It was only after they had left the bureau in my home and driven away that I discovered it had been damaged. A drawer knob had been knocked off and was missing, and there were a number of scrapes and scratches on the woodwork.None of these faults had been present when I viewed it in the shop, or I would not have bought it.Appalling service. The only reason I have awarded them one star is because a 'zero star' option is not available. The Wigan branch of BHF won't see any more of my custom, and a complaint has been made by me to the CEO of the charity.
