Went here last Tuesday took one step in and i was immedietly taken aback by the stench of the middle class. Everywhere i turned i saw spoilt entitled brats. I went to go and buy a banana and a sweater wearing tosser brushed past me and i looked in his basket and i saw SEVEN different types of cheese. This offended me because i cant even name three types of cheese and this tory tosser had SEVEN. However the lady at the till was lovely but the second i got out of there i felt safe again. I would rather live on the streets than become an mns shopper x

I visited your Sale store in Manchester, and wow, whilst I?m not usually one for negative reviews or complaints, I felt I had to on this occasion. I nipped into your Sale store completely forgetting I had my dog with me. Of course, this is no one?s fault but mine. Adhering to guidelines, I knew I wouldn?t be able to take him in so I asked an m&s member of staff called Samina who was working near the exit door, if she could hold him for a minute or 2. Samina waited no more than 2 minutes with my dog whilst I shopped inside. She was lovely, attentive and a credit to M&S. Her customer service was second to none. The manager however, a woman called Gemma at the Sale branch, was incredibly rude to me at the check out, and then proceeded to shout and tell Samina off for waiting with my dog, in which she did for no longer than 2 minutes. She did this in store in front of a que of customers at the check out. Samina even still proceeded to acknowledge customers leaving, saying hello and bye when waiting with my dog. Gemma was also rude to another customer when purchasing at the till. It baffles me how one, who is meant to be managing staff, the team and a branch, is incredibly rude, yet Samina, was ridiculously kind and attentive. Being in customer service myself, I felt I had to write to you to express how rude the manager was at this branch, as it shouldn?t continue. Perhaps it was an off day, and in that case I understand, however I genuinely worry how staff and customers are being treated if that?s an example of everyday behavior at work. Especially in front of other colleagues and customers. Thank you Samina for showing what customer service truly is and should be, especially when times are tough. It made my day! (The star is for Samina) :)

Went in store today to return a clothing item. Waited for ages with another lady to be served and then we were approached by a very reluctant sulky young lady, who practically lay across the counter, she was completely disinterested and had zero customer service skills! Rude rude rude!

Not impressed with the customer service at the store. I accidentally bought wrong item at the self-service till. Went to the customer service to get the refund for the item. The person at the customer service has showed no empathy at all and was very robotic in behaviour. Not that I expect a lot of conversation but a few nice words have good under the circumstances.

I have been shopping at this store for many years. After I visited it yesterday I shall no longer do so. The quality of food and the standard of customer service has declined sharply recently.First of all there are no small trolleys, and as I am short it hurts bending over the large ones. The choice of food for the New Year Dine In was dreadful. Nothing special at all. Lasagne? Chicken? Tiny starters not worthbothering with. There was only one check out open, and none of the staff rushing past took any notice . Eventually a young man arrived. A new desk opened. He did not smile, but just pushed the food along. I was only half packed when he asked for my sparks card. I asked if he wanted it now, or should I finish packing. He shrugged and said pack. I asked if it was now store policy not to help customers pack? He replied that due to Covid he could not touch the goods! Having already touched them all on the belt? The whole experience was not pleasant.. Most of the staff on the checkout are the same. No smile. No greeting. This is not the store it was.
