AVOID AVOID AVOID. As a returning customer of DFS for many years, we will no longer purchase our sofas from this company. Our recent purchase in 2023 has left us with nothing but problems, from the fabric to the customer service.We have had the cushions replaced on our barely used sofa (spare snug room) twice in 12 months due to excessive ?snags? and the issue persists. We have since had to resort to using throws to hide the mess, only to be told it?s now those which are snagging the fabric along with general wear and tear (12 months old). We have pointed out the same sofa is still on display, with thousands sitting on it daily, with no visible damage.We have since requested a final response letter to pursue our complaint via the furniture ombudsman, however despite several attempts over the past few months, we are still yet to receive our letter. We have spent countless hours on the phone, being passed from DFS customer service, to the store itself, the point of sale team and back again, each time being told something different. In sheer desperation, we have even visited (50 minute trip) on more than one occasion to be told there?s nobody available to help.Having called customer service AGAIN today, I?m told a further call back has been requested from the store. Our complaint is now approaching 3 months!! Absolutely no accountability, understanding or SERVICE. Avoid at all costs!

I went in today to see the beautiful Devine sofa I have ordered online. 3 gentleman greeted me at the front of the store. They were very friendly and approachable. I had previously been in to look for a new sofa and loved the Devine corner in chocolate. The chap we previously spoke to was very friendly and helpful. My partner and I had some time to think about, then noticed it was on sale online so we ordered it. We didn?t realise it was still on sale in store or we would have ordered it there. Looking forward for it arriving ?

Changed review, after and initial good exepeicne with helpful team managed to narrow down what we wanted went home re measured and considered our options and returned to look again, to make sure we picked the right sofa and purchase, went wrong from here, very odd overall experience sales person was overzelouse, felt talked over and just put us on edge, when we settled on a sofa, we had some questions as the options and the website didnt help, saleperson had very poor product knowledge, and told us we couldn't have the configuration we wanted, we said fair enough but we had another look on the web site at the sofa which confused us even more as it looked like we could do what we wanted but in a different way, salesperson then returned to be fair we were initially using the wrong sofa terminology there's a difference between a chase and and a 2 seater open end section ! , but even once we undestood the naming which took several attempts for them to explain, they didn't understand why we wanted to configure it that way we then thought we could, and not the way we originally asked as that would be cheaper, I confirmed with them that they had informed us that we couldnt, they said it was becasue we used the wrong terminology, so i clarified the the origonal question with the right terminology and the responses was "yes, no, maybe" at which point we left. Very disspointing

Awful experience at the Oldham branch. Looking for sofas for my new home and hoping for some assistance but blanked by staff who went to help others but ignored me completely. Then within minutes I was ushered out by a staff member rudely as they were closing despite it being 10 minutes to 6pm. If you want someone to leave you could try to say it like I wasn?t dirt on the bottom of your shoe and inconveniencing you. Will be taking my custom elsewhere

Can't give a minus star . Ordered my furniture July was told 6weeks delivery paid in full. A few weeks later received email saying delivery would be 11th September only to get another saying delivery would now be 30th September. After numerous calls to customer service was informed it would be 22nd October didn't arrive.Visited the store spoke to the manager who told me it would be mid November after another call to customer service I was informed that my furniture hadn't been started and I would not have before Christmas probably be in the new year.Not happy with this I returned to the store and asked for a refund .I wouldn't recommend DFS to anyone.

Ordered 2 identical settees one is ok, one is really poor and badly made creaky and two of the legs have broken. They want us to pay. They are 18 months old.

doesn't even deserve a one star to be honest, first off got leather sofas off them and the colour started to come off, they would only add a layer or spray paint and not replace the sofa, they believe it's something in the house causing this yet they couldn't diagnose it, anyway after a long battle i eventually gave in and asked to replace the sofa cushions and pay for the price, three times i rang them and was promised a call back. they have all the calls logged so they will know what calls have taken place. the service man was rude to my sister and the store manager dominic was very very unhelpful. avoid at all costs, full on empty promises nothing else!!!!!

Still waiting for a sofa to be delivered give us a delivery date 4 times then cancelled it every time and now apparently it?s got lost in the warehouse there an absolute joke don?t order
