First time I called in they said they are interested in buying instruments of higher end (between £3000-£5000)But need to discuss the details with the strings department which is available only in Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. So called again and made sure that everything is clear and they have everything they need.Unfortunately due to high price and lack of knowledge in the industry (their words not mine) they need to confirm it with boss. From my side I explained everything what they need to know about the instruments and dropped the price of items to £2000 just to get rid of it quickly.Been calling once a week for about a month but boss is still on holiday.

Absolutely blown away by the knowledge and customer service from the staff here (particularly the long haired guy sorry I didn?t catch his name) but he answered all my questions in awesome detail and really helped me narrow down what I was looking for. The product selection is great too

Hobgoblin is pretty much the only game in the North of the UK for fantastic folk gear

Great place to get work done on your guitars. Sonny and the rest of the team are helpful with all requests.I've had a messed up guitar neck fixed, and they also rewired and setup a guitar I had painted. You can tell they have a real passion for their work and the prices are fair.

Hobgoblin is located upstairs in the Johnny Roadhouse shop. It is its own shop! Hobgoblin specialise in traditonal, folk and acoustic musical instruments such as acoustic guitars, harps, tin whistles, bodrhan drums and mandolins, you will find everything you need here for the perfect folk arrangement! The staff are friendly and very helpful too which is refreshing these days!
