“Played course 30/08/23 Got told it was a hilly course was not quite a easy walk for most people course in great condition had a lot of rain but course played well greens were in good condition putting was bit tricky as speed of greens where each different only because rain had effected them. Nice touch from golf club we were greeted by club greeter Throughly enjoyed or visit our society all want to play again in better weather conditions superb value give it a try you will not be disappointed”

“Interesting course, all holes are different so need to think about shots, well maintained and some tricky greens, so really enjoyed the golf, and a nice pint of wainwright's to finish off.Only downside was the lack of signage (or clues) at bottom of 15th hole where bridge is closed.”

“Went to a 40th Birthday party here had a great night, drinks were reasonably priced. Its a little lonely in the car park and when we arrived we had no idea where to go, would be an idea to put a sign in carpark to say where the function is and which direction to go(big help if you have never been here before)”

“What a little hidden gem this course is, the pro was friendly on arrival and even directed us to a good cafe as the catering was not open early Monday morning, the course is in excellent condition, we played 2 in Manchester and 3 in wales and me and my husband agreed this was by far the best course we played all week with north Manchester coming second, well done green staff for keeping the course in excellent condition, look forward to playing again at stand golf club.”

“Played here for the 1st time today and I have to say the course was brilliant, best greens I've played on all year. Some very tricky holes especially a little par 3 (9th).P.S its not in Ellesmere ?.I'd gladly go back for another round or more. Picture is the 18th from the club house.”

“Probably should be 4 but the fairways were very wet and should have been proffered lies the staff were nice the sandwiches for breakfast very good.In fact I am changing it to 4 on reflection.”

“Had our society 16 guys and got to say everything about our day was fantastic .1st of all soup and sandwiches were fresh and delicious and the course was fantastic with the greens best we have played this year followed with chilli con carne . Amazing ? . Definitely booking again”

“A lovely golf course and very challenging, not long, but very tricky, you have to be very straight or you are in trouble. A 180 yd club will be perfect for most holes as the fairways will do the rest. Majority of bunkers are GUR but the greens are very good. Gentlemen called Paul in the pro shop was an absolute gentlemen and pleasure to meet, he could not do enough for me. I will be revisiting.”

“Loved it. First ever time plying here. The members that we spoke to were really nice. Managed a pint in the clubhouse later too. Despite all the recent weather, the course was a lot better than I expected. Well done to the groundsmen. See you again soon!”
