Excellent experience at DFS. All staff were very friendly and approachable and was there if you needed any help. The store was well presented and clean. We brought our sofa with Faruk. He was amazing. He looked after us throughout the whole experience. He offered us a drink and gave us time to think about our decision. He was very knowledgeable about the company and the buying process. He answered any questions we had and went through everything with us in great detail.

My word what a SHOCK !!! ,, I?ve bought every Sofa I?ve ever owned from DFS and whilst I?ve had slight problems with their after sales in the past I?ve always been happy.Despite finding something I liked ,, I was unable to stimulate an assistant into helping me and I?m certainly not going to part with the best part of £2,500 in a store that didn?t seem to want the sale so I promptly left and Won?t be going back.They may just have been having a bad day ,, it could have been a number of things but the lack of basic manners and Customer service took me aback. They lost Two Customers that day , my Daughter and I went to a local store the following day and both bought Leather Sofas and Matching chairs ,, we were also treated to a nice cup of Tea and free delivery ,, Comparison between the Two stores was a World apart.I guess some of these places just don?t want your Money ???. Thing is ,, we drove quite a way to shop Here - my advice is save your Petrol.

Bought 2 reclining sofa's and a reclining chair ,went to plug the sofa in and the cable totally damaged could have caused a house fire or someone to be electrocuted I'd advise everyone to check the cables .

The manager at the manchester stretford store is so arrogant and unprofessional. Ordered sofa with dfs since Jan 2023, supposed delivery was in April, on the day of delivery, the delivery guys found out the furniture had an issue and need to return it back. They promised to be in contact to rearrange delivery which they never did. After several contact from them over the phone they agreed to deliver and gave us a date, we waited all day nothing happened. The next day we went to the shop to speak with them. After all said and done they apologised and booked us in for the coming Saturday.The Saturday came, we waited all day and no delivery. Then we went back to the shop again the next day and met with the so called store manger who was so rude and not admitting to the issue on ground rather claiming we are under assumption that the delivery was suppose to be that Saturday. How can we be under assumption while your collegue was the one that mentioned the available date for us to choose and she assured us that the delivery has been booked. How come ur now telling us that it is miscommunication.After that he said there's nothing he can do that it is IT issue and we have to keep waiting and IT issue is relating to our order alone. We asked how long but he said he can't guarantee the date. It's been more than three weeks without sofa at home and he is not doing anything about it.My first time at dfs and will be the last. Very bad customer service especially coming from so called store manager.

If I could give zero stars I would. They gave the worst customer service I have ever had in my life. Signs everywhere in the shop promising chrismas delivery, didn't happen. Lost the footstool an unbelievable 3 times. They kept promising it would be delivered so I took time off work and never arrived. Sofa broke within one week of delivery! Kept being promised phone calls to rectify the issues that didn't happen. Called to ask to speak with the store manager and was told I would only be put through if I knew the FULL name! Was advised on numerous occasions they would call to discuss recompense when the foot stool had been delivered. It was ordered in November with guaranteed Christmas delivery and eventually delivered in April! Had to make numerous calls about the recompense that they promised to call me about. I was given just over £100 discount of a £2.5k order, do not buy off this company!

Only fault is when the sales person pushes you for the Guardian insurance, DO NOT bother, absolutely waste of money, supposedly lasts for the time you have the furniture. It took 14 weeks to send out a brown cushion cover, when it eventually arrived it was grey! Called to get this rectified was told it would be another 4 to six weeks. 8 weeks later get a message saying that our claim had been processed and that a replacement cover would be sent out in another 6 to 8 weeks. Don't let DFS sell you such a pathetic insurance policy.

It was a very bad shopping experience and I can understand that sofas can be broken during long and long transportation. When the staff installed the sofa, they also told me that they would send me a new part and it would take about 8 weeks. I can understand. After all, these products are imported from abroad. But until now, nearly a year later, I still haven't received new parts. During this period, I called no less than 10 times to urge, and every time the customer service would give me a time or time to deliver the new parts. Every time, I was disappointed and wasted my whole day waiting for the delivery without any notice. After this shopping experience, I do not recommend buying DSF products. First of all, we need to wait for a long time, and the good condition of the products cannot be guaranteed. Secondly, there is a problem in the connection between customer service and warehouse. It is difficult to ensure that we can get our products as scheduled.

Well what can I say apart from being conned out of 2 cushions!! To be fair Matthew was a nice chap just needs to sort his barnet out , just did not make it very clear on what comes with the sofa. Hence 2 cushions down which they wanted an extra £50 for ?!? They didn't say or mention that during the buying process. As for Fabio he is a complete waste of breath and not even worth talking too!

Buying my second sofa here, let's see how it goes, first one was ok ish considering it was not an expensive one, so now I've spent much more, so also I'm expecting more quality.Staff are very friendly and explain everything to the detail.

Went to buy sofa from DFS white city, Manchester. Good quality and reasonable prices compared to others. Lady working their Emma provided the best customer services, she was very welcoming and courteous. Even we went so late just before closing to place order but she really didn't get annoyed at all very calm and helpful. Thanks Emma for helping us out

Ordered our new sofas , was left 2weeks without seating or information after tgey pucked our old sofa up tge day before in readiness for confirmed delivery date. what s nightmare no one in customer services had a clue whst was goin on and kept fobbing us off with ( oh I can understand how awful it it ) sorry no you really don?t it was miserable . Now I gave my couches but they lost the cushions , we got compensated for the inconvenience, and chose two rugs to tge value of compo Weeks ago , still waiting . If you are planning on receiving goods in time for Christmas next year good luck don?t expect speedy delivery or service or any help from anyone that knows anything. Bad organisation , bad setup , bad communication , bad customer service s !

Never been on the receiving end of such poor customer service in my life. I come from a heavily experienced back ground in customer service managing in stores such as Selfridges. So I know the true lengths stores should go to, to keep customers happy. I was appalled but the experience i had with this store and the store manager.My sofa to which I paid the best part of £2,600 for arrived 2 weeks before Christmas faulty making the assembly of said sofa impossible to fit together.I phoned DFS straight away and had to wait 3 days for someone to phone me back. Even after phoning at least 12 times on all 3 of them days. Couldn?t get a straight answer to save my life. All the while we were sat on the floor with NO sofa! All while knowing we would be hosting Christmas the week after! The stress was real.With no answer from DFS and no real communication or straight answers from anyone, I took it upon myself to go to the store on the Friday (5days after my sofa arrive faulty)The store manager was so rude and offered no real solution to my problem. Told me they was not obligated to offer any discount or compensation for the awful situation I was left in. Other than re delivering the faulty sofa and trying to fix it. Even after being told the sofa was placed on the floor out my house (in the snow, mud and water) with not protection and then placed in the back of the delivery van not protected and most like more damaged.I could not believe what I was hearing from the store manager and at one point even had to tell him not to raise his voice and to stop shouting at me. His experience handling difficult situations was obviously not up to par.My reasoning was not an over reaction. I had no sofa and was sitting on the floor with Christmas around the corner. With not one person phoning me and offering a solution. 5 days passed and I myself had to go to the store to find a solution.Luckily I have an amazing group and job that helped me with my sofa dilemma! And I found a temporary solution, MYSELF!Madness it had to get to that point.The regional manager phoned me that same day at my request. Who did apologise and let me give the feed back i truly think she needed to hear. She sent me a hamper and gave me a small discount. Still in my opinion not enough. But I was so drained of the situation I had to just let it be.I now have to wait another 12-13 weeks for my sofa to be remade and delivered.Awful service and disgusting experience.Never will I order from DFS again. And NEVER will I step foot in the stretford store.

Was treated to poor service from managers and a sale assistant. Raised a complaint which went in my favour. The lady from retentions was really nice and dealt with my complaint efficiently. It's just a pity this stores staff was not like her hence the low rating. I wouldn't rule out buying from DFS in future but just not at this store as they told me a lot of lies which I caught them out on and subsequently so did the complaints team.

Worst experience ever. Ordered my sofa in July was told delivery date was September. Kept going into store to speak with the manager to change the size of the sofa, then push back and talked over which is fair enough. Then told mid October, then delayed again until November 5th and then told November 22nd. I then called up to confirm delivery to be told there is an issue with the filling that has been going on for months which I believe they knew at the time of taking over £2000. Was then assured by the manager Fabio who I found Super cocky and obnoxious that my sofa was being delivered by December 22nd and assured me I?d have it by Christmas. To be then called on 10th of December to be told now the issue is not with the filling but issues at the port. It?s one excuse after another, I would not give the store a single penny of your money or your time communicating with them. Id also avoid dealing with Fabio at all cost he is like and automated system who just gives the same generic response, he actually denied he was the one who assured me I would have it by the 22nd of December and was very confident when I challenged him on this day that if I wasn?t having it before Christmas I would?ve been called by now. On the call in November he said it would be too easy for them if I cancelled it now and I should stick with the order. So there is no Christmas in my house as I do not have a sofa to accommodate guest I must continue living in my bedroom like I have done for X amount of months with a new baby. Even if I cancelled at this point I wouldn?t get a sofa made in time however, if they were honest from the beginning I could?ve made alternative arrangements. Oh and finally they will allow me to cancel but Fabio super cocky Fabio made me aware it May take up to 21 days to get a refund on my card. Absolutely disgusting company and worst customer service I?ve ever received as a consumer . He keeps saying I would get Significant compensation but that won?t be discussed or put in motion until I receive the sofa which at this point I don?t think is ever going to come and considering his customer service skills being so poor, never being able to get through to the store will actually materialise. Avoid this store, this manager and this company like the plague.

If you order your sofa online and on receipt you find it is not right for you, you have 14 days to return with no penalties - this store tried to charge me 20% of the value because 'I saw the sofa in the store' which I denied. He said I was lying because his colleague told him I had seen it - this is the same colleague who rolled her eyes when we arrived in store. I can only assume she was annoyed that we did not purchase the sofa from her on a previous visit because we couldn't decide which sofa to purchase.The sales manager wasn't much help either he said the 14 day rule doesnt apply because I viewed the sofa in store and because my chosen sofa was bespoke and made to my order. I may be wrong but my definition of bespoke, is something being tailor made to my specification, for example if I want it covered in pink sequins, but this this isn't offered as standard then its bespoke???? However the manger has worked for DFS for 10 years so he knows everything.He was also going on holiday for 10 days, therefore he was going to pass this over to a colleague to call me.....4 weeks have passed and I am still waiting.Luckily online customer service were amazing, they even told me what comments the manager had put on my account from our discussion, he lied. The wrong sofa has now been credited and a new one is on the way with no penalties.Any future DFS sofa I purchase will now be purchased online.
