Cotswold outdoors has very helpful staff who will provide a good service. They also come seem to be very knowledgeable about ourdoor activities. I can not comment on returns as I have never returned anything as of yet.Cotswold outdoor sell high end, top of the range outdoor equipment, so may not always be budget friendly compared to other outdoor suppliers.Some jackets, for example, sell for between £350 - £625 for a gortex pro jacket. The good thing is you can actually try these on before you make a purchase.When you walk into cotswold outdoors, it seems to be more of a fashion outdoor store rather than an outdoor outdoor store. Don't get me wrong, they have all the top brands, but if all you're doing is going for a couple of hours' walk, you do not need a £300-500 jacket to do that.I stay dry and wind proof all day with a jacket I bought for £60.
