I love this store I usually shop here when it's Halloween or Christmas as they have the best seasonal stuff the staff are very helpful and funny but it's always nice to have a noise at what's new in store

Customer service at this particular store is not good. I have been to the self service check outs numerous times, and a few times the sales assistants that are standing around are far more interested in chatting, and are engrossed in their conversations than they are helping customers who get stuck scanning products. Just yesterday, 2 sales assistants that were stood near the self service checkouts were chatting and taking turns holding another customer's baby. They were not helping this customer scan her shopping. I waited at least 5 minutes for both sales assistants to look over in my direction. I believe they could see I was waiting, but they were too focussed on chatting and entertaining themselves with the baby, and totally oblivious to doing their job. And one of them actually looked annoyed when I approached her to ask for help. Its not good when a store's employees feel annoyed about doing what they are paid for. Not impressed

Absolutely disgusting store. Do not even visit. The scan and go app doesn't work. The prices the app scans are different to the till, the manager was called came over and told me she wouldn't honour the price they were scanning at on the app even though an Asda employee was scanning them for me and could see the price on the app VS the till. And I either took them full price or not at all. She then rummaged through my basket, i mamager to take pictures and show customer services her doing this as well as taking various items out of my basket and off me. All customers around the queueing area were watching as she started to raise her voice and then she removed my basket out of my hands and walked away with it. Tried to speak to customer services and they didn't care weren't bothered even though they have since came back and admitted its an issue with the pricing on the app. Vile company and disgusting staff. Manager lisa is rude.

I am really disappointed at ASDA, having been a loyal customer for 3 years. Lately I have had to go to Sainsbury's or ALDI after shopping at them, just because I couldn't find what I wanted and I am talking basics, such as beef, leeks, or sliced gouda. This is several occasions, not a single day. Empty shelves. It is very annoying to trust on a supermarket if this size that you will go and get what you want, without having to visit another supermarket as if you have all the time in the world.

We come to this superstore every Sunday for our weekly shop, spending on average 100 pounds a week.Unfortunately like most other weeks your fruit and veg scale was not working.Once we got to the scan and go check out we was abruptly approached by one of your employees Sally who snatched our scanning devise of my partners hands and asked if we had any issues scanning any items, which I remembered the only item was the bananas as your machine once again was not working. I was then bluntly questioned if I was was planning to leave the store without paying for these whilst tossing our shopping all over the trolly checking for any other items were not scanned. The overall approach felt really integrating which made us so uncomfortable and criminal like! We will not be returning next Sunday as this attitude is totally out of order!

I want to give a special thank you to a member of staff MAX who went out of his way to help he should definitely be promoted for the way his work ethics are for helping a customer immediately.

It's a supermarket so can't really complain when it comes to the food and prices as they are about the same as other supermarket's. The problem I have been having is the staff that work on the self scan tills are so rude and there is 2 ladies that are down right ignorant and have no people skills. You do get the odd few members of staff that go out their way to be nice and helpful but they seem to be rare in asda Leigh at the moment. I have worked in a supermarket before for over 11 years and no matter how rubbish the pay was or stressful the day as been I always made sure to treat staff and customers with as much kindness and respect I would like to receive. As for on the shopping aisle the staff that do the pick shopping for customers seem to have the same training the self scan staff have had when it comes to their customer skills, most seem young and they expect you to get out there way and look a hole through you if you don't. Asda needs to look at retaining some staff on customer service skills and the ones that can't seem to get that they need to keep away from the point where they interact with customers as its bringing the store down.

Make sure you check your receipt.Asda overcharged me for Quorn and Pancakes. The Quorn original price was £3.00, reduced to £1.50.The pancakes were £1.20 each or 2 packs for £2.00.It was only when I got home and checked the receipt that I noticed the incorrect prices.Luckily, I had nothing planned, so I returned to the store and spoke to one of their customer service advisors.Although he refunded me in cash, the money I was overcharged. His customer service skills could have been better.Update: Visited today, 26th June, and again, I have been overcharged. This time for Quorn Peppard Steaks. Displayed for £2.75. Till receipt shows I was charged £3.25.Customer service offered me a voucher for the £1.00 overcharge as the card machine was not working. I declined the voucher, and after a short discussion, I was refunded the £1 in cash.

Since sold by Walmart has gone down hill. We use to go for our weekly shop, however has now gone really expensive compared to other brands . At this particular store if you turn up early on Friday you are greeted to a pile of rubbish and trolleys just thrown all over the place ! Honestly plank lane tip looks tidier ? you are then charged excessively for the privilege? I won?t be using as much .

Used to be very Popular when it was owned by Walmart. Since being taken over the range of stock seems to have greatly diminished, not as many tills open and you have to really search for certain bargain offers. Where as it used to be a one stop shop for the weekly shop now people are shopping around for similar products at cheaper outlets which part is due to the recent increase in food at all retailers.

Large parking area. Plenty of trolleys both big and small. Good choice of products that you would expect from a big Asda. I used scans and go, but I noticed there were queues at the few reminding manned checkouts.

In the store on 11th april - Very expensive for baby food plus most other foods - dont understand how Asda can sell baby food more than the RRP and direct from the manufacturers. Ie Kendamil is cheaper to buy direct from kendamil. Small bottles to go £1.50 in asda £1.10 direct from kendamil. Big tubs are £15 from asda and £12 from kendamil with free delivery.RIP OFF ASDA

Visited Asda Atherleigh Way on Thursday 23-3-23. Just wanted to mention 2 very helpful asda colleagues, one who took time to help me locate a particular product, and the other who helped me download the Asda rewards app and showed me all the advantages of the app - I used it when I visited again the next day. Sadly I do not know their names ( should have asked really). The colleague who helped me download the app was working on the basket self checkout around 11am and was busily attending to other customers as well plus collecting up baskets, all the while, and kept coming back to help me with the app. Too often these days customer service is sadly lacking.Just thought they both deserved a mention for delivering great service.
