We only ate here, the food is well cooked English dishes, see menu in photos. The food is hot and tasty, and there's some different dishes. I loved my house salad with halloumi and vegetable scewer and my friends loved their flatbreads.

Never met such a rude person behind the bar in my life. Too bad as you lost about 20 people’s worth of food & drinks. We went somewhere else. This young lad (Ethan) swore as if we weren’t there. Terrible customer service.

From Black Dog
The Black Dog is a picturesque, country food pub in the Lancashire village of Belmont. Opening its doors as a public house in 1825, the original building was first used as a village courthouse in the 1700s and later as a farmhouse.
Recommended in the Good Pub Guide, the Black Dog offers a great range of pub food alongside well-kept beers and cask ales. Like any good country pub, there are a number of cosy snugs, raised areas, coal fires and traditional features. At the back of the pub there’s a sun-trap beer garden and part-covered courtyard.
Popular with cyclists, dog walkers and hikers, the Black Dog has three en-suite rooms for comfortable overnight stays with superb access to the local countryside.
