Fair prices always get what you need, staff are helpful, lots of bargains, xmas was exciting with lots of named products it wasa pleasure to visit ,as will Easter. Its a shame it isnt bigger with a cafe, pluss toilets , Aldi is always a pleasure to visit, the first time I visited a Aldi store was 1971 in Frankfurt Germany and thought then how good it would be to have an Aldi in England and here I am with one right on my door step ???? ?

Aldi has become our main shopping store in the last few years, mainly because of the competitive pricing and the efficiency of the staff. They have always been very quick at getting customers through the tills and the barcoding seems to be more accurate than other stores. However since the recent refurb there are problems.Shorter people struggle with the high shelving (always a problem) and outward opening of the new fridge doors causes constant difficulties of congestion down the first aisle. The new self-service tills are brilliant when you just want to nip in for a loaf or milk and they are a welcome addition. Unfortunately Aldi are pushing this to such an extent that they are reluctant to open tills unless they really have to. It seems clear that the staff are on some kind of incentive to push as much as possible through the self-service tills and this is causing antagonism with the customers. Customer care seems to have gone out of the window! If you want a till opening the customer is faced with a confrontation which you do not want when you are out shopping for food.I cannot see this situation improving, in fact I see it getting worse when they push the fazing out of cash even further.If a supermarket were to put customer service top of their priorities then what a novelty this would be and I suspect what a successful and profitable business that would be.

As good as ever good quality at a good price.The only thing I personally don't like is that only 1 till was operating and everyone was being "invited" to self check out .Is this a new policy for all their stores?.

The store looks great since its refurb, but on a practical level as a rather short elderly woman the top shelf is inaccessible and the next to the top one is a struggle. Today with a fully loaded trolly I found only the self service tills open. I can't physically manage over £65 of shopping by myself through the self service and I don't think I should have too. I asked an employee to open a till and she did, but she had an attitude. She had a long queue within minutes, so I'm not the only one who prefers to be served. I think I shall be shopping elsewhere next week.

Aisle seems narrow can't get round easy .glass cabinet are to close to other aisles .makes shopping longer when people are wanting to get in glass cabinet at the same time there no good for disable people to get in

Whats the point in having self checkouts and they are always closed. Just been in for the third time since they reopened and closed again.
