As someone fortunate to travel for work, one of my favorite activities is to visit grocery stores. Out of all the grocery stores in the world.... London by far has some of the best. While Waitrose slightly beats out M&S simply because they carry brands other than their own, Marks and Spencer is a close 2nd I stopped in to purchase a coronation chicken triangle sandwich (so British! It's a curry chicken salad). Of course I got crisps (Americans say chips) and a couple beverages. I also got some treats! The store is beautiful and I loved seeing their Mother's Day and Easter selections. The food was of course delicious and I got some extra snacks to bring home to my family in the States. Regarding the service, a nice man helped me with scanning. Even in the Uk the self-service scammers hate me. The value is well.... This is a gourmet grocer. I think my bill was $70 usd. But who cares! It's London and the experience was lovely.

They are selling sandwiches that are going out of date the same day and are not reduced until 6pm. Not the best customer service either. I will avoid this place and avoid Marks and Spencer's everywhere wherever possible.

-The employees in the toy department on the 1st floor are very friendly. I was looking for a toy and couldn't find it. 15 minutes later, an employee came out to contact me and told me that they were very serious about going to the warehouse to help me find the last one. They really listened to my needs and assisted me. Many thanks to the staff in the toy department on M&S-1 floor.

Marina went above and beyond to find me the dress I wanted in my size, she was friendly and incredibly helpful. Will definitely come back to this store.

The store is fab but extensions over the years of many many levels. The fab art deco store is now to be demolished by a hideous glass structure when they should have kept the 30's facade. If M and S don't get there own way they close it down and it woul certainly kill that end of Oxford Street.New glass store with offices above coming soon on 2 floors.I shall miss the old store. It's hot, cramped in parts and all over the place but it had everything. Selfridges directly opposite.Things change though and M and S are ruthless in right sizing their estate as many places now know to their cost.Without M and S this part of Oxford Street will lose people.Hope the store is kept albeit in a glass building and hope the new store will have air con as well.

The worst customer experience ever. Rude staff in the food hall. Definitely not going there again

I went in to the store because I really needed a decent suit for work. The customer service on the 2nd floor is amazing. Irene works in the suits department and she was an absolute star, taking me through an experience from start to finish. It really made my day to meet someone genuinely interested to help me. I walked out of the store with a perfectly fitted suit. Thanks Irene!

As the flagship store, the Marble Arch branch has the full range of M&S collections. It's great for browsing and getting to see what regional stores usually don't have. The only thing that lets it down, in my opinion, is that the store looks slightly jaded and could di with a refurbishment.

I will never shop from this company again. I went to this store to buy new trousers for myself. There was a black woman in the fitting room who was rude and disrespectful to customers. I tried my trousers and it didn't fit me so I asked for a larger size. She suddenly became angry. I directly left trousers, and I decided not to buy anything from this store and left the store with pride. I am glad she showed her ugly face, so I spent my money in Harrods at different stores with a lot more smiling and helpful staff. If you do not respect and help your customers, then your business deserves nothing. I will never go to Marble Arch Marks and Spencer store again. Not only Marble Arch store but all Marks and Spencer stores are in my boycott list due to one of their rude and disrespectful staff. I am super rich, and I love to spend my money on friendly and helpful staff. I even tip them 100 Pound if I like their customer caring. I am glad that marks and spencer's rude and disrespectful staff couldn't get any tip from me, haha.. :)

A 5-star review for Taylah and Shirley James!I had an outstanding experience at the store thanks to the incredible customer service provided by Taylah and Shirley, the 'ground floor girls!? I was searching for a leather coat for my holiday, and Shirley not only checked its availability but also greeted me with a friendly demeanor. Taylah went above and beyond to fetch the coat, making my shopping experience truly amazing. Their helpful and positive attitude turned my initial upset into sheer happiness. Thank you, ground floor girls! I'll definitely be returning for future shopping endeavors.
