Subject: Formal Grievance Regarding Managerial Conduct at Jones Bootmaker Fenchurch StreetDear People,I am writing to formally address concerns regarding the conduct of Manager Daniel Menson at the Jones Bootmaker Fenchurch Street store. I wish to bring to your attention several incidents that have transpired during my brief tenure at the establishment, which have led me to take this necessary course of action.Upon my application for a position at Jones Bootmaker Fenchurch Street, I received a prompt invitation from Manager Menson for an interview, despite my lack of prior experience in retail. While the initial interview appeared professional, my experiences subsequent to commencing employment on December 5th, 2022, unveiled a disconcerting pattern of behaviour from Manager Menson.During my first day of work, I committed a mistake typical of a novice in the retail industry by misplacing a shoe in the stockroom. Manager Menson's response to this error was not only unprofessional but also alarming. His aggressive demeanour, characterized by dismissive remarks and a threatening tone, left me feeling intimidated and demoralized.Subsequent interactions with Manager Menson further exacerbated my discomfort and undermined my confidence in the workplace. His criticism regarding the pace of my work and interactions with customers, delivered in a condescending manner, contributed to a hostile work environment detrimental to my mental well-being.One particularly distressing incident occurred on December 8th, 2022, during my shift. Despite my best efforts to serve customers diligently, Manager Menson's verbal reprimand regarding perceived excuses further reinforced his hostile behaviour and disregard for my welfare as an employee.As a result of Manager Menson's persistent mistreatment and the detrimental impact it had on my mental health, I felt compelled to resign from my position after only four days of employment. It is disheartening to note that such behaviour was tolerated within the establishment and reflects poorly on the management standards upheld by Jones Bootmaker.Furthermore, I must address an additional incident involving Manager Mariana, who displayed a similar lack of professionalism and respect during my orientation. Her derogatory remarks and belittling attitude towards my unfamiliarity with stockroom procedures further contribute to the toxic atmosphere fostered within the store.In conclusion, I implore you to take appropriate measures to address the concerning behaviour exhibited by Manager Daniel Menson and Manager Mariana. No individual should be subjected to such treatment in the workplace, and it is imperative that steps are taken to uphold a culture of respect and professionalism within the organization.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I am a loyal Jones customers, and have been for the last 25 years with on average 3 pairs a year (90% Jones). About 5 years ago Jones was bought, and again, but shoe quality stayed mainly still there. The store staff are good but online, read below.However, the customer care is appalling. I bought 4 pairs 28 days ago and have only received 2. 1 was ?lost in transit? and 1 refunded after I had to return it because they sent 1 pair of 2 different sizes. The refund was done against my express instructions, I wanted the shoes. After many emails the situation is not resolved and they totally ignore me! It has to be said that they never felt like human beings addressing normally another person, not even a remotely bad service. Then the lost one arrived!

The shoes I have purchased from their don't last, are uncomfortable and over priced. When I spoke to the manager at the Fenchurch Street store he laughed at me. Awful shop and I will never shop here again. It's also one of those shops which always has a sale so don't ever pay full price.
