Charity shop name, boutique vintage shop prices. Crazy overpriced, some things would be cheaper new. It?s a bit of a joke

What a lovely shop! High quality stock (especially if you like history & literature) that?s always reasonably priced, so there?s regular stock change. Also the staff are great, they seem to love books and the good cause their customers are supporting ?whether you?re buying or donating (don?t understand the 1 star review from the ?shunned? book-giver ????)It?s always a great experience for me, and it even makes me look forward to visiting my dentist next door, which is my usual excuse to pop in for a browse! Keep up the good work everyone.

Always worth a visit, great selection of books. Along with seeing my friends, the Oxfam Bookshop is the one shop that I always look forward to checking out.

Incredibly rude volunteers. I went specifically to buy two expensive records I had seen earlier, but was followed around (at literally a distance of 2ft) like a thief. One volunteer announced in a stage whisper "He's Going". Yes I am. You lost £40 and a regular customer for the last 6 years.

I know it is for charity but honestly, the prices in this second hand shop are extortionate. Doesn't it kind of defeat the point? There are a couple of second hand shops just down the road in West Norwood which seem to have a more realistic price for their items and frankly I like the things in there more. Okay you might have to rummage around a bit but that is the whole fun of it! Keep up the great work for charity but surely could they not sell more and ultimately make more money in the long run if they weren't charging so much?

The best Oxfam in South London! This shop sells great clothing and has a growing children's section. There's only children's books as the books were so successful here that Oxfam has opened a bookshop over the road!!

I've established a nice once-in-a-while weekend routine in Herne Hill, honed over the last few months and now ready to share with the world: brunch at Cafe Prov followed by a browse around Oxfam. I didn't say it was a complex routine now, did I? This particular Oxfam is very well located for donations from surrounding nice neighbourhoods and there's always something in there I like. It's quite a small shop but manages to pack a decent range of stuff in there and there's a glass cabinet at the back which often contains interesting old camera bits and bobs. I recently bought an old flash for no other reason than it looked brilliant and goes very nicely on a shelf along with some old Polaroids and a 1960s Brownie 8mm film camera.
