Asked them to carry out several checks alongside a major service and nothing was checked. A complete waste of money and time; I won't be using Halfords again..

Made 2 booking with them to fix an item got broken by the Finchley branch, when they servicing the car, never contacted me never tried to fix it

If I could give minus infinite stars, I would. Comfortably the most soul degrading service a human being has experienced since Adam met Eve. I?m left shaking with disbelief as I try to hold back vomit. I would be willing to pay potential customer £1,500 each if it meant they didn?t go to this garage.

Cancelled my MOT appointment which I booked for Sunday. It is strange that a trusted company has done this and rescheduled it on another day. But I have to take a day off from my work in order to attend the appointment.

AVOID!!! SCAMMERS!!! I would like to warn the community to avoid an unpleasant experience like mine. I booked to have my full service + MOT and two days before my MOT I went to a garage and I paid them to verify my car to make sure it?s ready for MOT, they checked everything and he said ?there is nothing wrong with the car? To my surprise I get a call from J Waters saying that the tyres have cuts and that I failed my MOT and that I need new tyres to be able to PASS. I was surprised and I told him to fix the issues but something didn?t seem right because I recently changed the tyres, they were fairly new. I went to the garage I asked them to show me the cuts in the tyres, Brandon told me they threw them in the bins, we went to look for them in the bins the tyres weren?t there. The next day i went to see the tyres after they miraculously appeared. I am not even sure those were my tyres in the first place, but the Dunlop tyre that they showed me, you can clearly see that it had a fresh hole in it made by them.(i have attached two pictures with the hole in the tyre) I contacted an independent mechanic and I was told that there was no reason to fail me unless the tyres were worn to the chords, which mine weren?t, they thought they would get away because they did not expect me to ask them to show me my tyres with the ?cuts?.They all stood there looking at me and glaring, especially the receptionist, glaring at me with anger and making me feel very uncomfortable, I had to ask her ?why are you staring at me for?? very rude and unprofessional too busy on her phone to do her job properly, making the overall experience frustrating. The inaccurate MOT results raised concerns about the reliability of their service. I'd recommend seeking alternatives for a more reliable and customer-focused experience.This experience made me not want to go to any Halfords ever again.They failed my MOT for the fact that J Water is a very unprofessional person and doesn?t put customers first. He should not be doing this job and neither the receptionist. This seems to be a gang organisation taking advantage of people who know very little about cars.I will be reporting this to the DVSA and Trading Standards.

I would like to echo the most recent comments and reviews on this garage - extremely terrible service. Turned up to be told booking was cancelled. Guy was literally calling people to tell them bookings cancelled. When I finally managed to get his attention and asked him why not call me before since my booking was earlier - started shouting in response that not his problem, call customer service, he?s just following orders, doesn?t have time to process my refund. Screaming was pretty upsetting to hear so I left straight away. He was a Halfords employee as per his shirt.Called customer service - were sympathetic and gave me the refund but no further action was taken.

Very bad garage! I did a booking online to check my A/C, went all the way there to be told that they don?t do A/C, because they don?t have the machines! They already charged me for the booking and they told me to go to the Finchley branch, drive all the way there, they told me that they can check some staff but not everything so probably I have to go to another garage! Left the car there, spent money for the taxi( this garage is much more far from my place), go back later just to be told that I have to change the filter and the first available day is after a week! I change it myself in less than 5 minutes! Waste of time and money, very unprofessional

Don?t be lured in by the big brand name, this garage is awful. Their mechanics don?t know about cars, told me my car was missing a part that it never had in the first place, they then ?repaired? my car but in actual fact broke the suspension, resulting in 2 additional days of the car being in the garage. Communication from the garage is incredibly poor, your car will not be ready when they say it will be, they will not call you to give you an update, they will be dismissive and condescending. Avoid at all costs.

The good: pricing was extremely competitive online. This is what brought me to them - was easy to book an appointment. The staff in the branch were friendly and helpful despite it clearly being very busy.The annoying: They're a very busy garage, so for just tyres it's really not the fastest place. It took about an hour for two tyres. In addition, the tracking machine wasn't working - they apologised and refunded that amount (prepaid online). Tyres were also both significantly overinflated - which was obviously easy to deal with, but not ideal.The bad: neither wheel was correctly balanced. As I still needed tracking, I took car to a place recommend by my mechanic, and noticed lots of vibration through steering wheel on the drive there. Asked the other place to check the balance and it was a bit off one one wheel but severely off on the other (70+40 g).Halfords online support were very responsive and refunded the cost of the re-balancing after submitting photos etc. That was appreciated, but I was only able to identify the issue and get it sorted as I have reasonable car technical knowledge. It makes it hard to trust them with cars in the future and to recommend them to others.Overall, had the wheels been balanced properly, would've happily given 4 stars and considered coming back in the future, especially given the price.
