Beware if you are booking for 2024. IHG are taking reservations for a hotel that may not be open. Glad I spotted reviews on here shortly after booking and was able to cancel. Phoned hotel front desk number and was told hotel is closed and MIGHT reopen next year. Chose Holiday Inn as I thought it was a name to be trusted but not so. So glad our family holiday - to coincide with my husband running the London Marathon - wasn?t ruined by a non-existent booking. Not good enough Holiday Inn ?

I had seen where this hotel had unilaterally cancelled bookings during the heart of the COVID crisis, but they were taking reservations now so I assumed that they had fixed whatever operational problems they had. We were booking a family vacation so options were limited for our group size and budget. This hotel seemed like a good option. We booked it in November 2022, and now, in February 2023, they have notified me that they are cancelling the booking. As others have noted, other options are scarce and pricing is definitely higher. If the hotel had suspected that they would need to cancel reservations, they should have not put out the rooms to reserve. I would have much rather chosen something else back in November than to have the rug pulled out from under us here in February. Being an IHG property, I expected the hotel to hold itself to a higher standard, but as everyone has mentioned, that is not the case. Don't take a chance on booking this hotel. They have violated the most basic promise of offering hotel rooms and then having them actually be available.

Avoid avoid avoid. Booked this hotel months ago for a one night stay before going to Paris in June. Got an email to say it?s not reopening as planned and may not open till 2024 if at all. They now want £300 - 3 times more than original booking to salary 2 miles away. Hung up on me twice. 2nd time after being on the phone for almost an hour and through to a case manager. I was very polite and civil no reason to hang up apart from they couldn?t care less on how to fix it. Fair enough hotel is not available but now prices are through the roof compared to when I booked for other hotels. Holiday inn should be sorting somewhere else. Their customer care is absolutely shocking and they couldn?t care less. AVOID. AVOID AVOID

I booked this hotel last year, two rooms for three night each for this June. Selected this hotel for its location and price. On the website , it clearly states that it was reopening in March 2023. No surprise this weekend when I got an email cancelling the reservation as the hotel will remain closed potentially till the end of 2023. It advises to contact reservations! So I call IHG who basically couldn?t care less. The nearest hotel as £1200 more expensive and all other options would involve paying double or triple the original reservation. IHG don?t care- they won?t offer the same rate or offer a discount at all!! I am shocked- I?ve been an IHG member for near on 20 yrs and am currently Platinum. This is the second time IHG has cancelled a reservation! I have cancelled my IHG membership and will never stay there again! PS- their best rate guarantee is also a con. Booking.com will often offer a mobile only price that beats an IHG member or website offer! When pointed out, we don?t match mobile offers!! Don?t book at the holiday inn Swiss Cottage. The closure has nothing to do with staffing. They have closed it for other reasons, just like Brent Cross Holiday Inn

Totally shocking company we booked this hotel months ago for a family break and Holiday Inn have now cancelled our booking as the hotel will be closed. Prices are now a lot higher as we booked in advance, Holiday inn have totally ruined our break away

Queued for twenty minutes to pay a cheque into my wife?s account was told rudely that I?m not allowed to do this, and that I should read their terms and conditions, and then was threatened to have the card taken from me.

Cancelled the reservation i'd booked months before via the IHG website and just washed their hands of the problem it left me with in terms of no alternative hotel. Rates had gone up elsewhere in the meantime and they couldnt care less. Same attitude from IHG too. However IHG state on their website under their Best Price Guarantee, that all bookings made through them will have A Guaranteed Room. Booking on IHG.com is the best way to guarantee your room. If for any reason your reservation cannot be honored, IHG will provide you with a room and transportation to another convenient and comparable hotel. And, we?ll pay for the full cost of the first night?s lodging price, plus tax. Any advance deposit will be refunded to you THEY DON'T HONOUR THIS!!!!!!!!! AVOID THIS HOTEL

I have a business account and this is the first time I use this branch . Horrible service ..usually bank with kilburn branch and they were fantastic and friendly something I can not say about this branch ..although they are my local branch I will definitely avoid any business with them .

Used to be a great bank. Went in to let them know I'm travelling. She replied you have to do online. Moments later my friend went in with the same query. She did it for him online. Seems like they pick and choose who to help
