Have used OptiLabs twice in 4 years for cycling glasses with prescription and can't stop wondering there are still businesses like them today delivering top notch service. Best is the owner turned up at the door on a road bike to deliver, just like a cycling pro. Impressed and respect!!!

I always try and give a review for good service, lately that seems to be missing with the services of certain businesses I'm looking to help me, have been providing.With this company Optilab, that didn't happen as I had excellent service from start to finish.I got myself into a pickle with glasses frames from Ray-Ban, which had no lenses, so I bought some sunglasses lenses online which were technically correct for the frames number but needed to be shaved to fit the frame at all.Vision Express was pestering me to have an eye test (yes, I'm that age where they are free) I went to Bentall's in Kingston to their boutique to be turned down flatly, they couldn't help me as they didn't have an optical lab on site (I did phone first, and was told to come in?)Anyway, making contact by email with Optilab explaining my situation I had a phone call from a nice lady called Margaret (I was later to find out, she had brilliant customer service with me and others visiting the Gallery area).To cut a long story short, my issue was solved while I waited and the quote to do the work was higher than what I actually paid, just £20 to get the lenses into the frames and a fully functional pair of backup sunglasses.I will use Optilab again and recommend either using the online distance service or turning up in person as I did to Croydon to anyone who needs glasses, they do everything on site and are fantastic.

I cannot praise this company enough!After a long search for new prescription cycling specs I found Optilabs by chance. They offer an excellent try-before-you-buy service, which was fast and free, and allowed me to choose my frames confidently.I made my order and was impressed with the huge choice of lens colours and types. My specs arrived extremely quickly and the service was very professional. I emailed to chase my order, as I was keen to receive it before going overseas for 3 months and they called me back straight away to give me an update. My glasses arrived three days before they promised!They are perfect !I am extremely happy and highly recommend Optilabs for anyone who wants sports eyewear.

I've had several pairs of prescription cycling glasses from Optilabs over the last 20 years. Although not cheap, they are significantly less expensive than the designer brands and just as good quality. We wear cycling glasses for many hours over the year and it is important to get this right. Indeed, good eye-wear can transform your cycling comfort. Photochromics can of course be worn all year round and you'll only need to take one pair of glasses on a tour.

Second pair of prescription sunglasses I've bought from Optilabs for cycling. Had the first pair for years and had to buy another as my prescription changed. Excellent quality and the photochromic lenses are great for changing light conditions. Phone them for advice first as they have years of experience in choosing the best product for the glasses intended use. Superb customer service , thoroughly recommended!

Really impressed with Optilabs - have been cycling for 30+ years in ?normal? glasses but decided to take the plunge and buy some prescription cycling glasses. Called for advice and found Optilabs to be extremely helpful. Glasses arrived about a week later and I love them - and the prescription is perfect. Will definitely buy again. Thank you.

Optilabs have gone above and beyond to help me find a perfect pair of prescription sports glasses. Nothing was too much trouble. I went on my first long bike ride wearing them yesterday and forgot they were on! Perfect fit and perfectly comfortable.

My Edge sunglasses are a revelation. They are always at the right tint (I got photochromic lenses) and go completely clear in darker conditions, meaning I can wear them as normal glasses in the house and at night - no changing of sunglasses to ordinary glasses needed. They are absolutely fantastic!

Had another new prescription lense made and fitted for my shooting glasses I originally purchased from optilabs some 11 years ago.Excellent experience and 1st class service from them.I just wish I could remember the staff member who arranged my order as she is a credit to the business and nothing was too much trouble for her.

I want to say how pleased I am with my new prescription cycling goggles from Croydon based Optilabs.For the past few years I've been wearing RX inserts on a pair of very cheap cycling glasses. They're ok and do the job but I hated the double reflections I got viewing through two lenses. The narrow field of view was also a minor irritation.When my prescription changed recently I took the opportunity to buy from Optilabs. I was attracted to the fact that they could fit my high prescription onto a curved frame - which a lot of companies won't do. It was expensive but money very much well spent in my opinion.Optilabs offer a try before you buy scheme. After fussily ordering 6 demo models to try (heh I was only supposed to order 3) I settled on the 'Flow' frame with varifocal, photochromatic, ultra thin lenses with air vent.I've been on a few rides now and they're very lightweight. Crucially, there are no double reflections from before and, now that I have varifocal lenses, I can actually see my bike computer while I'm riding. The air vent means there's less condensation and misting during very sweaty efforts compared to my previous pair.Extra bonus, I can use them for everyday wear (although my wife teases me saying they look like milk bottle lenses when not in dark mode) and they're robust enough that I can teach my martial art classes with them (I take them off when sparring though). The only minor criticism is that the darkest stage of the photochromatic lenses isn?t dark enough on the brightest of sunny days. I could do with it being 10-15% darker but given that it?s the UK, it?s not often I need that I suppose.
