How this place is still open for business is beyond me.Standing in the line ignored like I'm invisible man.The line for selling was open by one person serving as for me buying an item I had to wait for a good 8 minutes before they would see me terrible.

We needed a phone but the guy behind the till seemed pissed and wasn't very convincing. Didn't even know the basics of the 2/3 models in which we were interested in. Not his job. Cex should replace losers.

Had a terrible experience in this store today. Went to sort out my AirPods 3 Gen because the ones I purchased from another store been attached to the previous user with enabled tracking. When I came I saw the had same AirPods with a higher grade available, which I decided to take. Double checked with till staff that it has been checked for the same issue I had previously, had a positive answer. No it wasn't, well that's not a problem I thought. Came back they fixed it, I connect them to my phone and HERE THE STORY GETS MORE INTERESTING. Left AirPod is not working. Going back to the same person who served me which was Lorenzo. Put a random track to play he tries and confirms that one is not working properly and the other one is kinda quiet as well. At this point I already spent in store about 2 hours just for a pair of AirPods. Ive asked to have a refund as it wasn't even 48h from the moment of purchase also mentioning that this is not acceptable to sell faulty goods. Lorenzo turned on a dime. In front of other 5-6 customers who been at that moment in the store he starts saying that there is nothing wrong with AirPods and that I just put it WRONG in my ears, making me look stupid in front of everyone. This circus and embarrassment lasted for around 20 mins, bear in mind even a random customer checked those AirPods and confirmed they were faulty.This whole nightmare was sorted by very kind and honest manager (whoever was on a shift on 4/09) and another colleague (not sure if his name was Pav or something). Both of them checked those AirPods and confirmed they were faulty, and I am eligible for a refund.Dear Lorenzo, you need to learn some customer service etiquette otherwise the retail job might not be for you. As the way you interact with people and make them look and feel idiots is not acceptable.

Workers on the till all friendly but the tester just wasted time,I wanted to sell my lenses I was waiting for 2 hours for the test all of them for a nikon f-mount. The tester told to his colleague he can't tested one of my lens because they doesn't have the right camera to test. I sent back the guy from the till to ask him again, how is possible because all of them for the same camera. He just told us the same nonsense.

Great CEXm no complaints, good, varied selection, standard reasonable pricing and super great/helpful staff. Except, sometimes the ?can I help you with anything? question I get as soon as I enter and start to look at the shelves/displays can be annoying. However, unlike most I don?t usually come in wanting something specific but rather to browse and see what catches my eye, so to others this is probably a good thing.

I recently bought a phone from the Cex Camden Town store and quickly realised that the Wifi would not connect and the phone was unusable. I returned it and of the two team members I dealt with neither apologised nor were they particularly bothered. One kept telling me not to worry (I was worried about getting my money back, as I told them, as there was a very obvious fault with the phone and Cex's reviews are generally very bad), while the other team member seemed to find the fact that I was annoyed that my phone had a fault that was very basic to check to be an unreasonable and melodramatic reaction. They checked which store my phone came from with the air of "this didn't come from our store" and discovered that it did indeed come from the Camden Town store! I got my refund. I followed up with customer service online and this was unproductive, though it was amusing to hear that the staff described themselves as "diligent". I would not buy from Cex again. I went to Back Market instead, who were capable of sending me a working phone with no hassle.

Terrible service, bought a phone from there 2 days ago and was told I had 2 days to return it if I wasn't happy with it for any reason. Unfortunately I wasn't happy with it so returned it and was expecting my full refund. I was greeted by a rude member of staff who said I was only entitled to a voucher and I apparently lying because their staffed wouldn't have said that I would get a full refund. (Checking alot of there other negative reviews it seems a common theme) Anyway all round terrible service highly recommend you don't use this shop.

went in today to sell a few games the worker that helped me was good. However i had a pokemon game with the wrong cover and asked them if they could just reprint the cover as they have reprinted covers on sale. The manager was very rude and was quick to say no even tho i said to him you sell games with reprinted covers. he then told me it costs them money which i said i will pay the difference but he still said he cant do it. From the moment i walked into the store he gave me cold stares and was not very welcoming, he also looked like he didnt want to be there.

Bought a Zelda Twilight Princess for the Wii, the box was good with all the inserts so I bought it, saw the staff just throwing the dics in the box, since im not from the UK I had no chance to test the game, when I now did the game is not getting read by the console, only gets through the first cutscene, and no wonder. I have never in my life seen a worse scratched game then this, how do you even call yourself a game shop with games scratched worse then my cutting board. Never buying anything from them again!Update: If you have read anything I said, you would clearly see that I stated I?m not from the UK therefore no, I cannot return the game to the nearest store Nikhil, I?m stuck with a nonfunctioning copy of Zelda. Thank god I haven?t bought the Mario Kart Double Dash, what condition would that have been in?

On 17/02/2023 I brought my Huawei watch to be sold and the engineer completely lied and said it cannot be connected to anything. The engineer lied for no reason and even his staff could tell he was lying. As she didn?t and couldn?t explain the reason why it wasn?t working.When I took it back home to connect to another phone it was working perfectly. He just had a issue with me and I guarantee when I take it to another CEX it work perfectly.The guy looked Indian and was average build. So embarrassing that.

yesterday i sold a phone and was offered £9.00 which i accepted ( a couple of years back CEX was really fair in the prices they offered..now they are simply insulting offers so i wouldnt recommend selling to them these days)To make things worse they told me i had a two hour waiting time to test the phone. When i came back they told me they were deducting £4.00 because i didnt have the charger. To add insult to injury the woman gave me the cash all in loose change with apology,Used to be a good shop. Now my opinion is stay clear if you got any sense.
