Parking is a nightmare couldn?t get parked anywhere after work, everywhere other than car park required a parking permit so expect a 20 min walk minimum. Classes are impossible to book unless you book on the dot of opening which is exhausting to keep track off, trying to cancel my membership and not even managed to get in the gym yet.

It?s very busy sometimes but overall it?s great!Edit.Water for shower is cold and the jacuzzi has not been working for more than a month. I feel like it?s not worth the money anymore.

Member for some years but place has gone down. Dirty, sauna whole spa area can do with a good clean. Jacuzzi not working more often than works. Supposedly in the midst of refurbishment, can't see much change but let's see. Not holding my breath. As much as I like the classes there, if they don't step up will go elsewhere where. Not cheap so why take 2nd or even 3rd rate.

Poor management communication to members on the gym floor closing for the refurb for nearly 10days and a price rise. No email, no notice on the rising price of an extra £7 a month? that not an inflation rise, that?s us members paying the upgrade!Only positive is we finally have new machines.

Both my partner and I cancelled our membership today.. after being shoved in the postage stamped size area with only a handful of weights, no benches, flat bosu balls and a few kettle bells! I asked if they could please pump up the Bosu Ball so I could use it as a make shift bench for weights. The General manager bowled over to me as if he was a bouncer and asked why, when I explained he said ?we don?t do that job that?s for gym engineers ? ! Wow! So we are still charged full price to be subject to that attitude, not even the equivalent of a spit and saw dust gym and to top it off the price is going up by ten quid! Errrrr no thanks! Well done Toni you just lost £ 166 from both my partner and I! Byyyeree

I've been a member of this gym for years, I absolutely love it. The facilities are first class, they have tonnes of excellent equipment on the huge gym floor, with plenty of space to work out. There's a full sized swimming pool, spa pool, sauna and steam room. There's a really mixed crowd that come here, everyone is super chilled and friendly. The staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone who's looking for a nice gym. It's worth paying a bit extra to have a gym that you actually want to go to!

Since joining Virgin Active, it?s been a very good experience and staff are really friendly and helpful always. Classes are really good and can work at my own pace. The instructors are really good in supporting you if you have an injury and will ensure you have an alternative to help whatever is your injury. Love you can book 1 week in advance for your classes and get reminders that you are booked which is really helpful.Plus now my son can join the gym with me who is 13 years old and who is really excited about doing some strength training; as my other gym did not allow kids to join. Best decision in joining this gym.Only feedback is that the restaurant is not part of the gym so they close really early which is shame as I would like to have a use the restaurant. Otherwise enjoying my new experience at virgin active.

Gym is large and well-equipped but run-down with regular broken machines, broken hairdryers, broken lockers etc. Not very clean. Really nasty cheap soap and hair conditioner.Whole place needs a huge refurb (note: Pictures on Google where this review is hosted are of other Virgin gyms, not Bromley).Although they have recently decorated the reception by putting up shiny pics of the other Virgin gyms they do invest in so that we can see just how bad Bromley is by comparison.Sauna is currently broken (one month now). It's a simple piece of wood any ordinary man could replace with a trip to B&Q but Virgin hasn't fixed it. Spa pool is often out of action for some reason, is cold, and the 'cycle of bubbles' it is on leaves huge gaps of time between bubbles so you spend 5 mins laying in a tepid ugly pool.Towels are not included for the monthly fee, no staff on gym floor to tidy up weights etc and limited help on desk.Classes are ok but try getting into one. You end up on an endless waitlist which everyone pulls out of and often you end up with 30 mins notice that you are now 'off the waitlist' and if you don't attend the class at such short notice, you can get banned from booking another class. The pool area is ugly and often over-run with children's swimming lessons (why am I paying such a high fee?)The app is rubbish and often crashes.Oakley gym in Petts Wood has the same facilities and access to classes and is of equal decor level just without pool and sauna and is just £25 a month but has 24hr access.Given that Virgin pool is overrun with children and the sauna/jacuzzi are often broken, it shows how overpriced Virgin is.Will not be renewing. I'd prefer to pay more for a nicer gym rather than pay less for an equivalent but I'll take less given what is on offer.

I cancelled my membership back in July as I was paying and never used, once I cancelled my membership I cancelled the direct debit as well.A company called ArcEurope contacted me to pay them £78 because they were instructed from Virgin as I owed them £14 apparently which I don't know why.Long story - short, they never called me for the £14 and I never knew that I owed them.Very unprofessional using this method directly without informing us, I used to pay £90 monthly so I could have paid those £14 immediately.I hope my credit score hasn't been affected from their poor communication.Vey disappointed!

I have been a member of Virgin Active for several years with several branches and have had many issues over the years. They market themselves as a luxury gym but the facilities are old and run down. The equipment is constantly broken and dirty. While I got lucky and had a really good trainer, a lot of the trainers are inexperienced and a little shifty with a male member/friend being ?offered? steroids. You will pay x3 as much as an average gym with average facilities and bad customer services. Before writing this review I spoke to the manager Will about the issues, who clearly couldn?t care less and said it was fine to cancel my membership if I wasn?t happy. So I decided to cancel my membership. Honestly, there are so many better gyms out there, with great customer service. I have attached some pictures below which were taken during Covid where there were layers of dust and dirt which was never cleaned. Also, if you want to use another Virgin activity facility, they will make you pay an extra £20 per visit (I was previously told by another staff member it was completely fine and used the gym but the rules change according to the member of staff). Also Virgin Active please don?t reply with a generic message asking people to call or email so you can sort out the issue, I already did and the manager Will clearly could not be bothered.

Been here for roughly 6 months and it seems I'm the only one that re-racks the weights. Bars, dumbells and weights are strewn about the place. It will take you 5m to find what weights you actually need as NONE of them are in their place, EVER.Monitors don't seem interested (or they haven't been intructed to do so) in keeping the place tidy and there are no signs to educate/encourage members to be tidy and return their equipment after use.Only a matter of time before somebody trips on a dumbell.Once this has been addressed I'll gladly change my review as the gym and instalations are very good & well maintained, and the staff are very helpful and courteous.

How have I missed this venue for so long? Best choice I made to switch from the decrepit MyTime to this well-equipped, very clean, and top of the range gym. Best health decision I made in a long time. BUT HOLD ON: then there?s The Lido cafe. Had a ?super green pasta salad?. Nothing super or green about it. The rocket salad was missing, the pesto sauce was sour, and it looked like a dog?s breakfast, not that my dog will eat it. Carb heavy, unattractive, and colourless. Can?t give a refund because no manager around. Poor!!

3 stars for the pool and sauna facilities... if not for them, my rating would be lower. The gym area is alright, but I wouldn't sign up there solely to "lift iron."

I have to say the reason I joined this gym was for Pilates reformer and I was not disappointed! Amazing classes all the time and it?s a bargain to have access to unlimited reformer classes for around £50/ month( I have vitality insurance). Yes the gym can be overcrowded and yes they do not have a stepper(please VA, get a stepper) but all in all it?s great value for money. The receptionists are always attentive and polite and the cafe is serving better food then David Lloyds even.

The club is looking very tired. They are upgrading the changing rooms and showers at least. A lot of the gym equipment is very dirty. Things are often broken or very shabby looking. The gym floor is often extremely busy and people linger on machines on their phones. I work so I?ve given up on ever getting on any of the popular classes. You need to be ready to book it the moment it ends or you?ll end up on an endless waiting list. Parking is often impossible. The gym floor is also very hot. The air con only seems to hit a few small areas. They have classes on the gym floor to one side which are incredibly loud so you can?t listen to your own music for the duration.Staff seem friendly although there is never anyone on the gym floor so if something is broken you need to go down to reception to tell them. I won?t be renewing my membership. It?s not good value for money.
