I have purchased a Post Office 2kg sized box for posing internationally, which is a fantastic deal for postage at a fixed rate of £25. My parcel weighed 2.1kg and the lady behind the counter just sold another international postage option to me at £65!!I asked if I can remove some items out so that the box is under 2kg limit to save money. That's £40 difference for the sake of 0.1kg.I know it is the customer's responsibility to ensure the parcel is not over the limit before coming to the Post Office, but I just found this overall service a bit unfriendly. Not sure if it is because of my action to remove things, or the lady is having a really bad day, but she had also typed the address wrong: she read "&" as "8" and made another error with her typing on the address (I used capital letters for the address)... Again, I know it is the customer's responsibility to check the details are correct, but I am human and I was in a hurry, sod's law this only happens when you are in a rush eh?I am just sadden by the lack of customer service to "double check" information with the customer, when these details are crucial for ensuring the parcel will reach to the destination safely.I have tried searching online of how to correct the address online, but I can't rectify this. All I can do is pray that my parcel will arrive on time and not be returned to the UK...Word of advice: just check everything at this Post Office, despite there is a queue behind you!UPDATE on tracking service: the parcel is now on its way back to the UK as they cannot identify the address. GREAT. GBP 25 for the presents to go on holiday! I am surprised they didn't read the hand-written address. This is really upsetting and very disappointing.

Fantastic staff! Despite the fact I always come in late, they invariably work at lightening speed to get my mail sent off just in time before the collection. I couldn't ask for better service. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and offer a very professional service! Thank-you.

Always very helpful people. There is nowhere else that provides the Service that these people do. Passports, licencing, road tax etc. People who complain about a little 'huff' should go into Bromley and spend an hour of their lives queuing in W H Smith. Not a nice experience. Credit where credit is due.

I was served by an old lady who clearly needs to retire. She couldn?t read the package and labelled it to the return address even though it clearly stated ?sender?. I told her twice to do recorded delivery and she did signed for only, so she had to do it again. She even had the audacity to huff. If she doesn?t like her job, she should quit.
