I went into Specsavers, Rushey Green Catford Branch and managed to get an appointment foir the following day.On the day of my appointment I arrived 3 minutes early and I was immediately seen by a very nice Young Lady who carried out my tests. Afterwards I was seen by the Specialist who carried out further testsand assured me much to my relief that everything was ok. I have since realised that the problems I was having with my eyes was caused by a reaction to some nose drops that my GP gave me.I was truly impressed by the service that I got from everyone working in the store and I am now glad to say that I have made a full receovery and my eyes are ok. I am very impressed with the equipment and all the Staff who were very pleasant and professional. Thank you for relieving my anxiety and stress I truly thought that something serious was wrong with my eyes, especially my right eye.

I had the unfortunate experience of visiting Specsavers Catford Rushey Green, and let me tell you, it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. My journey to this establishment was not by choice but rather at the recommendation of my GP, who inexplicably failed to follow the correct procedure for my eye condition.Instead of providing me with the necessary forms to go directly to a hospital, specifically Kings College Eye Department, my GP sent me to Specsavers in Catford. This misguided advice resulted in a wasted hour of my time, during which I had to leave my mother, who suffers from dementia, alone while I waited in a painfully slow queue. When I finally had my turn with the optometrist, it was clear that their primary focus was not on my well-being but on maximizing profits. Despite my eyes burning and my vision impaired, the optometrist shamelessly suggested that my glasses were too strong and needed to be changed. In my vulnerable state, I naively agreed to their unscrupulous tactics, only to be swindled out of a staggering £480 for new glasses and £25 for worthless eyedrops. To add insult to injury, later that evening, I found myself in the A&E with a severe case of conjunctivitis. It became glaringly obvious that Specsavers had failed to properly diagnose my condition and instead exploited my distress for financial gain. The staff's lack of urgency and their blatant disregard for ethical practices are utterly appalling.Furthermore, the glasses I purchased from Specsavers turned out to be nothing but shoddy, subpar products. They were so poorly made that upon having them tested, they were deemed utterly useless. It was a complete waste of both my time and money. In hindsight, it's abundantly clear that I should have followed my instincts and sought medical attention at the hospital from the outset. Specsavers Catford Rushey Green not only failed to provide adequate care but also engaged in deceitful sales tactics that preyed on my vulnerability. I implore others to steer clear of this establishment at all costs. In the picture you'll see the ointment prescribed by the doctor at Lewisham Hospital.

I can't recall the optician's name, but it started with "V." He was exceptional?thorough, friendly, and professional. The entire staff was delightful, creating a positive work environment where they seemed to genuinely enjoy working together.

I cannot see properly with these new glasses.I was not given the opportunity to look at the tint chart. I was told they do not have have and only one tint. In addition, I had to pay. All other branches told me that they do not charge for the tint. On top of all these, I sent an email requiring an itemized bill, the manager failed mention that Specsavers do not charge for the tint, but instead pointed out that her staff has made a mistake in charging less for the lens. Why would a customer pay for a mistake that the employee made?I felt pushed to choose a pair which I didn't particularly like

After my daughter freaking out for her eye test at the bromley store, we tried our luck for the second chance at catford and I am so glad we did. The staff were professional but managed to be friendly, helping a distressed 4 year old and her beginning to stress mummy remain calm, we way overstayed our time, but no one rushed her or showed any signs of impatience. When she eventually managed to complete the test and choose glasses the staff were genuinely pleased for her and openly offered praise. I really think children's optitans stores should be a thing and in the meantime I will be recommending the wonderful ladies at catford specsavers over and over again.

The optician was friendly and efficient. However, we waited a long time and store staff were painfully slow and a bit disorganised. Selection of glasses ok but nothing special.

Pretty chaotic and busy. The digital tests all happen in a tiny room. When I was there, there were up to 8 people (including 2 customers) coming and going in this tiny room, talking over one another and generally being chaotic. The idea of privacy or one on one customer service was non existent. However, all the staff seemed nice enough, especially the actual optician. I probably would not pay the full £25 charge for an eye test here - your money is best spent elsewhere.
