Great department store - lots of options to browse, friendly staff and customers. Only draw back, the coffee was terrible from the cafe on the 6th floor, it was fairly busy, but in 2024 the coffee offering could be improved. Tried both coffee offerings - from John Lewis counter and Benugo coffee bar, both coffees were bad, very unfortunate.

The department store contains almost all brands, perfumes, and women's and men's clothing. The store is large, approximately 7 floors, and contains various electrical appliances and coffee machines. There is a small café on the third floor. The prices are about the same as decorations and various items. There are bathrooms on the third floor. There are men's clothing from famous brands, but I think their prices are a little expensive.

An absolute joke, I?d be embarrassed if I were to operate a business like this.I went in to purchase a hairdryer and brushes, styling products.They had 5 hair dryers on display to buy, but no boxes with the items available. I took one of the hairdryers to the counter from the display. The lady walked over, shrugged and said that it didn?t appear they had any. I asked could I buy the display model, no. I asked why they were displaying products they don?t have, she shrugged, so no hairdryers available from the 5 on display, correct! I could have the one hairdryer available, a GHD item at 110.00 over the price of the 5 others displayed. No thanks.I went upstairs and asked if there was a manager, no, but a chap came and I asked why were they displaying so many products they didn?t have, he couldn?t answer so he was ?professional? and just sniggered, whilst he went back to his phone. And they wonder why the high street has gone out of fashion and customers buy on line. What an embarrassment of a companySuch a shame.I walked to Boots, where they sold everything they displayed it ( surprise, they removed the display of what they couldn?t provide)

Just phoned their customer service number and asked a lady if they had a specific counter in the store . She couldn?t tell me and was arrogant and kept repeating I am not at the store. Surely they should have this information to hand. Come on John Lewis. You should have a list of all concessions in your store surely!!!!! And maybe educate this particular woman in the art of customer service. She is answering the phone as first point of contact!!!!!

Absolutely appalling on my last visit all lifts wasn?t working part from one, with only one working for all 6 floors was disgusting. Especially waiting to use it, having to rely on them being disabled and no staff around apologising or getting them fixed !

The staff are so lovely. The lady who helped me at the cashier by the sunglasses counter (lady?s fashion floor) on 18 Jan (around 1230) was SOOO patient and helpful- I?d not seen the appeal of department stores before this but she?s made me a convert! Will be making Peter Jones my regular store now! Unfortunately I forgot to get her name but she has very very short hair - she definitely deserves a raise!

A highly discourteous sales rep in the laundry section of the large electrical dept of Peter Jones on Saturday 6 January:His response when I told him I was looking for a washing machine: " Madam, read the sign...it says Dryers."When I asked for help, his response was "Madam, I didn't offer to help you."When I made a complaint to a woman sales rep, his defense was that it was "banter", that it was his first day back at work after Xmas and that he was busy with another customer.

Horrible customer service. We went to purchase a mattress and bed that we had already seen online and would have been a quick purchase. We waited for over half an hour and constantly got told that other people were before us despite the fact that they arrived after us.It felt like we had been profiled for wearing streetwear and not 'looking like we came from money'

I bought some gorgeous boots from your store. The shop assistants were so busy I really felt for them- they were all working so hard and were very patient with some of the more brusque customers. Honestly, all of your shop assistants are so incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank you, I love my boots as well!

Utterly disappointing. My 80 year old mother has tried to call Peter Jones to see if they still provide a mobile phone screen protection fitting service in store only to find out that you can no longer speak to the store directly and the customer service team have no information on this so cannot help.Peter Jones to used to be friendly, helpful and accessible place to shop and now you are passed from pillar to post and have to wait up to 24 hours to get a response. So sad.
