This is my local store so apparently I know exactly that there are 13 automatic tills from which exactly 13 takes only card payment and doesn't matter how loud you ask won't sell you cigarettes for example, therefore SMOKERS and "CASH-PAYERS" basically being segregated and forced to QUEUE.That's almost discrimination but definitely bad business decision.

First, they should go to good manners class, they are not in Singapore, that arrogance that I am English to those who speak Spanish is already out of fashion, and for some who work in that Tesco, soap was invented more than 2000 years ago

Increasingly just an oversized convenience store. Downgraded to an Express store some years ago, recent years have had an obvious reduction in SKUs for fresh produce. Increasingly just looks like a convenience store full of chips, biscuits, soft drinks and 8 kinds of basmati rice with less and less choice of actual groceries. A large number of self check out machines, but most of them are turned off most of the time.
