such a shame to have to review my experience here, I was being followed and my everymove was being watched intensely by a member of staff here the other day.Nothing make me more nervous and anxious than being stalked. The member of staff wasnt even subtle about it, just picked me out the crowd, said i look like a thief or whatever and im going to watch you whilst you shop for tea.

I have visited Waitrose in Chapel Market to buy some oxtail over the meat counter in a few occasions without any success.Spoke to their Manager only to be told that the Meat Counter closes earlier( I was there before 9 pm) due to short of staff and other excuses. Such an unacceptable way of dealing with a customer, who spends most of the salary shopping there.

Seems they chose when to close now, the advertised closing time is not when they close. Today they stopped letting people in at 17:10 as they were busy and was advertised to close at 17:30. I could see though the window that it wasn?t that busy. and never been an issue before. A lot of people were turned away and all very unhappy.

Website states closes at 1730 on a Sunday, but they shut the doors at 1700 and refuse to let anybody else in stating they need to clear the shop of customers

When you come to this Waitrose, remember to keep your receipt because the staff at this store is extremely rude, and Waitrose doesn't care. I came here on January 11. After I paid for my stuff and walked out, a black security stopped me rudely and claimed, 'You didn't pay for everything!' without any evidence. Another Indian security came and said that I picked up a mushroom and put it down. I asked him, 'Where did I put it?' He said he doesn't know. What a joke? You accuse customers of stealing when you didn't even see anything? I asked them to call the police, knowing that I'm innocent. The manager came and said that I'm catching attention when they are the ones falsely accusing me.I wrote to Waitrose customer service an email on January 11, they didn't reply until the 14th and asked for my receipt. I replied on the 16th, and as of now, the 19th, they haven't provided any solution. I'm very disappointed in Waitrose. As a loyal customer, I do not want to return to this place. I posted my experience on social media, and apparently, many have had a similar experience at this exact same store with the same staff. That's how you know Waitrose doesn't care about their customers. Go to M&S or anywhere else because Waitrose would falsely accuse their customers and do not apologize.

KEEP ON BUNGLING, PARTNERS! Pick-ups from John Lewis @ Waitrose, Angel, Islington. Waited 20 minutes the other day, because text message wouldn?t connect to their app. I had thought they fixed their IT issues by now. Three days later waited 18 minutes, because TWO orders from TWO consecutive days could not be found with ease. Today someone refused to even look at parcels readied behind the counter following my ?15 minutes or less notification?, and I was left standing there for a further eight minutes (next to the fruit and veg incl. lemons, much feeling like one), when a another, clearly exhausted member of staff finally handed over the item. Every single one of these memorable events charged @ £2.50. This is completely unacceptable. Happily, M & S is next door, where such issues simply do not exist, and where I remain in charge of my time ? for free.

The security guard was chasing me in the wine section. I just wanted to check the whole collection of wine you have as I am a sommelier and was looking for interesting wines. But the security guard was literally breathing to my back so I left the shop

Purchased bad milk & watermelon on the turn (vinegar smell / taste). Would have returned for refund but was already on train.

The security guard wanted a staring competition near the wine section. I would have obliged but I just wanted to pursue their selection. In the end I left because it was all a bit too awkward. Went to M&S, their security guard didn't want to play games.

I shopped in this Waitrose as usual. A security staff failed to stop a shoplifter and let him ran away just when I entered the store.A few moments later, he clearly got a minority report that I'm **going to** do shoplifting, too. He stopped me 4-5 meters away from the entrance and asked me to open my bag. Yes, I use my bag to carry food. What tf is wrong with that!!So I opened my bag and he saw it. He still didn't want me to go. He said I made his job difficult. How about you go back to your primary school to learn some basic logic lessons? A person who you suspect going to commit a crime isn't a criminal. You're ok to stop a person when the person walks out without paying, but not when the person is inside of the store and you don't know if he's going to pay or not!Waitrose, you cannot let your staff harass people like that. Train your staff properly.
