Unfortunately there was no hot water in the shower leaving our family of four unhappy. We had someone in the room who ?tried to fix it? for the first 2.5 hours after arrival, which wasn?t exactly the relaxing country getaway we expected. When asking for the status twice, we got a (from my point of view) rude answer given we are a family with two children aged 2 and 4 and need to shower. No alternative was offered during the stay. We stayed in the ?luxurious? Rissington Suite for 215 GBP a night.Difficult to recommend to anyone.

Had a lovely stayed with The Lamb Inn for 3 Nights. The Room was clean and neat. Comfy bed and warm, helped me sleep well through the nights. Considered quiet at night even though located by the Main Street and a pub one level downstairs.Service from all the staff were amazing. Friendly and attentive made us even more welcome as comfortable.Another great point was the food. We?ve been spoiled with the food there. From breakfast to dinner. Just look at the pictures and you can tell by yourself about the presentation, cleanliness, flavour and the quality. The Lamb Inn is located in Great Rissington village, a lovely little village and worth to have a wonder around during the day. Further more by car in 15 minutes there is Bourton-on-the-Water. We also did another trip to Stow-on-the-wold and Burford while stayed there.I recommend this place for you, your family, friends and it?s a pet friendly as well.

Good location, peaceful and quiet hotel. Good service, clean room (stayed in room Stable 12) but the main door needs to be fixed. Restaurant is good as well as food, service and breakfast.

Stayed in the Cheltenham suit which was really nice and clean. You could hear noise from the downstairs bar but only early in the evening and as to be expected with the old building. Slept great and really enjoyed dinner and breakfast there. Would highly recommend the food and excellent service. Authentic building and cotswolds experience would definitely recommend. Thank you very much.

Booked for Sunday lunch whilst on a recent stay in the Cotswolds. Service was excellent, water bought straight to the table , comfortable chairs & nice decor. Had the rump of lamb which was delicious, melted in the mouth. Would have liked more variety of vegetables, we had broccoli, carrots & cauliflower cheese. Roast potatoes weren?t the same as home cooked, a little hard & dry. Had to ask for more gravy & the plates could?ve been hotter to keep the dinner warm. Sticky toffee pudding was excellent & plentiful. Toilets clean & staff very attentive & pleasant.

Booked a roast for my partner and I a couple weeks ago. Was a little put off by possible £20 cancellation charge but honestly was well worth the visit. Staff were so welcoming after a long walk. Food was delicious and just enough rather than too little or too much. Great pint of Guinness too. Will 100% be going back. Just what every country pub should be like.

Nice pub, expensive though. £9 for a bowl of soup, and the food didn't look that impressive tbh.

Stayed here for a couple of nights as a base to explore the Cotwolds. While it is about 5 km away from Bourton on the Water so pretty isolated I think this adds to the charm. We stayed in the Windrush suite which is in the apex of the room. The room was nice, fairly large and nice bathroom, however watch out for the low beams as I banged my head a few times. The staff were super friendly. We really enjoyed our dinner both nights in the pub, The dishes were definitely worthy of a gastro-pub. Breakfasts were also very good. Also given its location plenty of locals enjoying a drink with dogs in tow, added to the charm. The place has its own carpark. Overall a nice, secluded place to stay in the Cotwolds. Definitely recommend, even if you are just visiting for a meal or drink.

Had a very warm welcome, showed to our lovely room which was beautiful but maybe bit of extra care with cleanliness wouldn?t go amiss. The bed was very comfy as were the pillows. Amazing power shower. Bar service was really good, we ate our evening meal here and the food was outstanding! I had the pie of the day and it was delicious. The breakfast was really good with choice of cooked options and cereal too. All in all a lovely stay and would recommend. This hotel is dog friendly so there was few guests with there pooches (we left ours at home with family as he snores and farts!!) Thanks guys for a lovely stay, will definitely return.
