“It’s a beautiful property with a great surrounding area. The food here was great, although drinks were a bit pricey. Please note - the rooms here get HOT. They provided fans to keep air circulating, but there is no AC and the windows do not open enough to allow cooler air to come in at night.”

“We stayed at this hotel for our wedding anniversary and were made to feel so special! The customer service was fantastic! Hotel is in a lovely quiet area but still only a few minutes walk to the town centre. Currently in the middle of a refurbishment so completed areas are looking great! Even areas where work was taking place was discreet and didn’t detract from the rest of the property. Our room had just been finished and the décor was elegant but quirky, the bed was amazingly comfortable, everything was spotless, the bathroom was huge and the bath in the middle of the bedroom so you could relax whilst looking out over the terrace was a wonderful touch (a personal favourite of mine and highlight of this stay)! We had a few minor issues during our stay but the team handled these efficiently, compassionately and a more than satisfactory resolution. We were lucky enough to have the tasting menu on Friday night and the food was delicious, and very generous in both food and wine portion size! All the wine and champagne were, as expected, fantastic. However, the star of the show for me was the breakfast! Beautifully presented, fresh, great options to choose from and, again, delicious.”

“Stayed here for a couple of nights as a base to explore the Cotwolds. While it is about 5 km away from Bourton on the Water so pretty isolated I think this adds to the charm. We stayed in the Windrush suite which is in the apex of the room. The room was nice, fairly large and nice bathroom, however watch out for the low beams as I banged my head a few times. The staff were super friendly. We really enjoyed our dinner both nights in the pub, The dishes were definitely worthy of a gastro-pub. Breakfasts were also very good. Also given its location plenty of locals enjoying a drink with dogs in tow, added to the charm. The place has its own carpark. Overall a nice, secluded place to stay in the Cotwolds. Definitely recommend, even if you are just visiting for a meal or drink.”

“We stayed in room 18 accessible. Wet room as always very good. Lots of rails and roll in shower. Everything you need for a short stay. We had air con a huge plus on the hottest day of the year. Breakfast good you book a time so we had seating no problem. Breakfast as usual great. Bed a bit low for easy transfer from wheelchair Staff friendly as always. Room clean, spacious and functional. Parking no issue two disabled bays. Short ride to Cheltenham main High Street. We came for a wedding 2 miles away so perfect location. Can't really fault anything.”

“The room was spacious and it was clean. Simple amenities in the room but could it was all that was needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location and not too far walking distance from shops, cafes and restaurants. I would stay again and look forward to another visit here. Highly recommend!!!”
