Outstanding service.\\nWe had an emergency fault that needed repairing. Even though they were fully booked on Sunday 12th November they said they would try and fit us in. By 1pm the car was drivable.\\nI cannot thank the team enough for providing such an excellent service.\\nThank you. Highly recommend this garage.

Went in for a 'free' brake check and came out with a quote for £970 and they said I also needed new rear discs - so circa £1200 in all. This was for a very slightly binding rear brake that was causing the temperature of the wheel to get to a whopping....60C (measured by my TPMS and a contact thermometer).The fault was on the vehicle for about 30 miles since I'd had new brake pads (hadn't solved the problem - was the caliper).As a result of this reckless test drive to Evesham apparently the disc, new pads, parking brake shoes and caliper all need changing. The real mechanic who since changed the caliper said there was no damage to disc or pads - both of which are designed to dissipate far more heat than this. I said this to halfords and their only reasoning was that they had to put all new stuff in (even 30 mile old pads) to guarantee the work!!!So be warned - nothing is free. Get them to do a 'free' check and they might pick up something useful - but ALWAYS get another opinion.Vehicle is now fine, I got a new caliper for £90 and my local expert fitted in 20 minutes at proper rates (not Halfords £90/hr)Shocking.

Do not go here for anything else then mot, and only if your car is brand new!!!!I had my car with this service for 2 months for an engine yellow light on my dashboard, no update, not even 1 update I had to call every 1 week for update and Every time when I call, they had the same Answer your car will be ready by the end of the week!Finely, I took the car from the service with EGR and DPF changed, after 2 days of using it, the same yellow light engine came on the dashboard!So if you have a spare car to use and some money to throw away, then you can try this lovely autoservice(if you can name it autoservice)!

Booked for 4 tyres replacement and allignment, drove the car on the motorway and felt vibration took back to Halfords autocentre Cheltenham to explain what was wrong with the car. Did not given a slot to be checked and have to comeback week after. Took to another garage as advised by the reception and found out 4 wheels no weights and unbalanced, allignment not properly alligned. Paid another extra then went back to show them the report, receptionist not happy and insisting there was nothing wrong with the tyres. I explained I am not here to argue or blame anyone but to tell them what went wrong but she doesn't want to listen. Went home disappointed. Hope it'll be sorted by management so no one will experience what I had.

Absolute jokers, booked in for a suspension check due to having a most likely broken shock absorber and they quoted me £1800 and said car needs 4x new shock absorbers. 4x new coil springs, new rear droplinks, new suspension arms and god knows what else as I am still waiting for the exact quote to be sent over as receptionist claimed their email system is 'broken'. What an absolute waste of time, my car passed its MOT 4.5 months ago with basically no advisories on suspension parts. I'd advise to stay away and don't support scammy businesses like this lot.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Fabulous service from the centre. Staff were helpful and they repaired the cars under tray without the need to replace it saving me at least £150.

The staff here are useless, they can't quotes you for prices of work that needs doing, do work without your permission, they are not even real mechanics, all they wanna do is replace everything with brand new parts rather than trying to fix things like a real mechanic would do, they seem to be very opinionated on your car should be scrapped or not rather than just doing the jobs that they've been asked to do, 100% do not recommend.

As others have said, DO NOT GO HERE.Took my car here to get an oil leak issue diagnosed, for a start they rang me as they couldn't even figure out how to open the bonnet... They then tried to tell me that a previous garage had broken the latch which was completely false, as I had the bonnet open just before driving to the garage to make sure the oil level was sufficient for driving - I also had it open the day before and never had any issues. They refused to admit that they had broken it as they tried to force it open without using the correct technique which I had explained.Did not offer a refund or offer to pay to fix it. They also did not find the oil leak issue, it felt like they didn't even check as they listed about 5 things that it could be but I took it to a different garage and they found the issue instantly and it was a really straight forward fix.I took a chance with this place as I thought they can't be that bad but definitely listen to the reviews and avoid!

Went in on Saturday for an MOT and interim service. Unfortunately it failed on a major issue so could only be fixed on Monday at the earliest. Both Philippa on Saturday and Amy today (Monday) were lovely on the phone and reassured me throughout.When I got there it was apparent that there was a severe staff shortage, and Amy had to deal with both phone calls and customers in the reception itself. While under immense pressure, she kept her cool and dealt with everyone with care and attention despite having no Internet system up and running, and having to answer calls on her private phone.My car in the mean time had been sorted and all relevant paperwork supplied.Considering the stress they were under they remained personable, friendly and professional.Would certainly use again and I hope things get sorted soon!Thanks again to all the Halfords team ?

Popped in today as I was struggling to find a bolt matching the one I'd snapped, super urgent and on a bank holiday Monday. A hero called Terry took a quick look through a few draws and found me one. What a guy! ?

Well second time using Halfords mot service. The first took 2 visits to get the van mot as the ramps lift failed at the beginning of the mot. Sadly my van at the time was blamed for breaking the axle lift by the duty manager. When actually transpired that it has just been fixed poorly. After 2 visits and 4 hrs out of my working day the van was failed.When I was quoted a large mount for a hand break cable I had to question the amount. Luckily I did as it saved me nearly £200. As some of the other reviews confirm on here their pricing morals are some what questionable.Todays mot was booked for 10.10am. After returning at 10.45 to find the van still sat in the carpark I was less than impressed. The duty managers informed me that there?s a failing in the booking process and that actually when you are asked to bring your vehicle in 10 minutes prior to the test starting it actually means Halfords need it there an hour before they will start the test. Nothing in the booking process that explains this.I?ve been having vans moted for over 30years and never had such a poor service. But after checking the reviews it seems the standards are very poor and they are the worst rated test station in Gloucestershire. With a history or poor service and rip off pricing.Never use again down to the service I have received and the dreadful customer service applied by the manager.

Saviours of my Bank Holiday!My motorhome went into limp home mode on the M5 just outside Cheltenham at teatime on Bank Holiday Friday! I managed to get to these guys and boy am I glad I did! Even though they were about to pack up for the weekend they took us in, put the motorhome on the ramp and found a stone which was stuck on the turbo wastegate valve. I'm amazed they found if but they did and we got on our way. I couldn't be happier and more grateful.What a great bunch of guys. Thank you so much!Service: Engine repair

Do not go here!I went in for an MOT for a car I've not had any problems with. They said it needed £1000 worth of repairs. I paid it and they said it would be done at the weekend. Then they said it wouldn't be done until the Monday, and then on Monday I get an email saying they've managed to order the wrong parts so it won't be done till Wednesday!In the email they said they were charging an extra £600 but when it was done they charged me an extra £800. The woman in the office was extremely rude and laughed at me when I said I was told it would be done at the weekend, she laughed and said "it's not the weekend yet". I had left it more than a week!I grudgingly pay them and get my car back, then find out they ran down a half tank of petrol to almost empty and set the clock wrong! Terrible customer service in every way.

Friendly staff, but taking 3 hours to complete an MOT is a bit much... I appreciate delays happen but it's very easy to call someone and tell them to come in a bit later
