I would do a minus if I could this store sold Snus to a 14 year old schoolchild yesterday and this child was told by others to go there as they had also been sold vapes/Snus underage illegally previouslyI witnessed it for myself when I challenged the male member of staff said ?they said they were 18!? Stores like this are exploiting children and fuelling the pandemic of our children?s addiction to nicotine and damage to their health

Consistently brilliant and friendly. They got in some vegan items on request. I've never had the issues mentioned by someone else below and I'm regularly in there. Absolutely top notch local shop. Good range of products.

The best local shop by a country mile. The nicest staff ever, always up for a chat and seem like the kind of people who would go above and beyond

I used to buy a daily newspaper here, but earlier this year the store started declining to accept my debit card for low-value transactions. On several occasions, the young lad in the store claimed the payment terminal was not working (in fact it was) in order to try and get me to pay in cash. He also lectured me about the cost of taking debit-card payments, demanding to know why everyone in Britain wanted to pay by card rather than cash, and quoting some frankly spurious-sounding statistics about the cost of debit-card transactions to the store. It came across as rather discourteous. I suspect this store might struggle in the evolving retail environment. Going back some years, it used to be a pleasant deli and I spent more money there, but there is little I need or want there now. I buy my newspapers at a local competitor (no payment issues).
