Returned to The Old Rectory which is now under new ownership. We had Sunday lunch and the menu provided a great variety but can really recommend a traditional roast beef. The portions plentiful and all cooked really well. The home made desserts excellent, certainly my red berry crumble with custard was really tasty. Jason and Michelle have made a terrific difference to the inside of the restaurant yet retaining a traditional character. They are most welcoming. The garden is adorned with Michelle's chicken wire sculptures showing her terrific creative talents. We will certainly be regulars and looking forward to the Christmas menu. Well done Jason and Michelle we can highly recommend your wonderful restaurant.

I recently had the pleasure of discovering The Old Rectory in Colesbourne, and it was an unforgettable experience. This restaurant has the antique charm of a Victorian building, combined with some beautiful modern sculptures, creating a unique ambiance. The tiered luncheon made with locally sourced ingredients was a true delight and the Library's antique ambiance and open fireplace created an intimate setting for our group. Definitely highly recommended and looking forward to a revisit

Lovely place. Host attentive Food dreadful. Firstly the simplest of baking on a cream tea, the scones were the height of Welsh cakes. Two together were still a flat small scone. Couldn?t be split to put cream and jam on. They had to go on top. They were dry and texture all wrong. Full of air bubbles. Frozen? Should have been kept in kitchen. As tea was supposedly made on site I find it needs saying that the macaroons appeared identical to those from discount supermarket. Colour combo shape and size. No real taste. Other tiny squares of unidentified desserts obviously from factory. Looked good but nothing tasty. Rissoles were factory made. The giveaway one was was hollow, no cheese and potato.filling , just outer coating. Crostini with fish was tough as old boot. Not offered refills on coffees or drinks . No decaff on tea or coffee. Luckily we were able to laugh at it all. However for others I?d say steer away. Spend the money elsewhere and enjoy it.

We visited this weekend just after a refurbishment carried out in June/July 2023 by the new owners. Really high quality job and feels very comfortable and the Library dining room is very funky. We had a Sunday Roast as we were staying in the area for a week. Superb is the best word to describe all courses, chef is very talented and cocktails are very moreish! Very much recommended to all.

A tucked away place that has lots of charm. A very warm welcome and excellent service from beginning to end. The food was good quality and served with a smile. Good flavours with soup and main course. Unfortunately the Bakewell tart was very sweet and hid the flavours of the almonds and jam. I will return in the near future to try other items offered.

Food is excellent I had roast pork followed by apple pie. I was part of a party and we had all ordered several weeks in advance and still the service was very slow.

Fabulous coffee morning in support of the Air Ambulance today. Excellent cakes provided mainly by Joyce, I think. Thank you Sean and Diana for hosting the event.

A lovely countryside pub serving delicious food and a wide variety of drinks. The owners and servers are very nice, informative and welcoming. The room we reserved was beautiful furnished and decorated how we wanted it. The garden and location are idyllic - would definitely recommend!

Not been here for a few years but went for a 70th birthday. Four of us with our own dietary quirks, so obliging nothing was too much trouble. Friendly helpful service, excellent food cooked to perfection, everything so fresh and homemade. A lovely evening at our own pace, not rushed but not ignored, table checked several times during the evening. Tables spaced out, cleanliness next to none, highly recommend and won?t be leaving it too long before visiting again. A comment from one of my party. ? Best starter ever had, excellent?

What a wonderful lunch. Visiting Cotswolds. The welcome at the Old Rectory was second to none but food was 5* plus. It was cooked to absolute perfection and to such high standard. Not often you can say that. Off the beaten track but a must to look for
