Unethical management policy of always recommending additional work as being needed; advice not given in good faith? When additional recommended work transpired to be unnecessary, retail staff told me afterwards that they were told to ALWAYS advise this additional work as being needed, regardless of actual requirements! Incorrect advice honestly given would have been understandable (cause of fault on car was unknown at the time). Unfortunately, I did not feel that advice was given in good faith, but instead given as part of standard policy to get customers to spend more. Minimal part refund was given on complaint. Auto repair staff and servicer James were excellent.

The car seat seems excellent. It holds the seat belt in the correct positions on shoulder and lap (unlike our previous seat which I abandoned for safety concerns) and 4 year old is currently sleeping peacefully in it, so I assume it's comfortable. I would give the seat 5 stars, but docked a star because of the demo - I got the impression that the seat would be fitted in my vehicle by Halfords. They said no, they only give a demo of fitting on the model seat in the shop. The chap giving the demo also told me the shoulder belt goes above the armrest not under before plugging it in; I queried this as that's not where we place it on our seats in other cars, but he repeated the same. So I checked the manual and he was wrong...it goes under the armrest. Always check the manual, don't rely on the demo!

Excellent service, have always used a Ford main dealer in the past but my faulty headlight was replaced within 15 minutes of me arriving. Great client service. Will certainly be using Halfords in the future.
