Since McCols has been changed to a Morrisons daily I have been unable to purchase my Heets russet . Tried calling Morrisons sent email and also left messages but no one has bothered to get back to me to explain why they do all the other types but the popular russets , I spoke to a relief manager who has kindly said he will sort this out for me as he knows I?m a regular customer which I have been for 8 years thank you the stars are for the relief manager not Morrisons daily who don?t care

I have only ever experienced nice and friendly staff here. I go in with my daughter who is in a wheelchair and has learning disabilities. At times she has caused chaos in there but they have always been considerate to her needs, said hello and chatted to us. They have held the door open for us many times so I can get the wheelchair in and out and have taken the time to help my daughter learn how to count out her money. A valuable life lesson that takes time and patience. They are clearly understaffed there which must be difficult for them especially when they are busy, so maybe some of the customers could do with taking a breath and finding a bit of patience themselves.

Came to return an Amazon parcel at their post office a bit after 2pm this Saturday, and had no trouble getting it done. There was a nice lady who was working both the cash register and the post office desk. Despite the store being understaffed I got very quick service.

After being emailed to collect my parcel, I go to the post office with ID to find a notice on the door saying 'no post office today. sorry' and the door locked. Thinking it may be a technical fault that may be rectified the next day I make the same trip, and after enquiring, I find 'it may be working at 2?' despite the 7.00 till 22.00 stated on the website. If I'd have known it was this pointless I wouldn't of considered collection an option, or at least not collection from here! Using Royal Mail and this Post Office is particular is my own fault, I would like to say this hasn't happened before, but whether you use a delivery or a collection service, be prepared to wait at least a week before the transaction is completed! IF it gets completed of course! (Update, took 4 attempts over 5 days!)

I mean, it's a local convenience store:All the papers. Milk. Microwave burgers. Overpriced envelopes. Spam. Bubblegum. Guinness. Limp veg.Add a "post office" counter - pretty much the only reason I ever go in.Never overstaffed ... so have patience my friends, have patience.

Went in to buy milk. Both staff outside smoking talking to someone in car. Stood at door and asked if anyone wanted to serve me. No response so left. Unbelievably bad service. Please employ some staff who have a clue as many of the local residents don't have any other option.

If you are reading this review it is probably to find out if anyone has had a similar experience of the place to you - rather than to decide whether to go there or not. It is a shop in a village with only two shops after all.My experience of this branch of Mccolls is that in 9 out of 10 visits you will very likely leave without what you came for.Staple items such as daily newspapers, fresh produce, a post office counter or simple politeness are very often absent.I recently visited one morning only to find the shop floor unstaffed and after calling out for a few minutes to see if anyone was alive in the back, had yet again to leave empty handed. On another visit, although there were three staff there, I was told that the post office was closed because they were busy but I could ?wait twenty minutes or so? if I liked. I didn?t like.I know that things are unlikely to change in terms of management due to this review but thought I should leave a note just to let anyone reading this know - you are not alone - everyone gets the same expertly-poor service.Save yourself some time if possible. Go to the co-op for everything but the post office.

So I go in on Saturday morning 11th September 2021 with my parcel ready to post. Before I can get to the counter one of the shop assistants calls out to me "Post Office doesn't open 'til 2 o'clock".Really?!Something not right in that, it's normally open at 6.Seems like they make up their own opening times to when it suits them, with total disregard for the inconvenience and frustration caused to innocent customers.

So what's happening here? How many times do I have to get here and the shop is shut for taking a delivery?Tuesday 22nd September 2020 10:05 shut for taking a delivery sign on door.Customers turn up and most of them give up waiting and go to another shop. Some of them hang around and then they too will give up waiting. Some customers moaning about it but don't take the trouble to go online and complain.I gave up after half an hour and was told later that they didn't open again until 11:00!So that's 55 minutes waiting for some people!Went back later on in the afternoon and the young lady who served me seemed quite surly.

So 3 weeks ago I get there at 06:02.The place opens at 06:00Pavement sign is outside so I know they have been open.No-one inside to be seen.I specifically got there just after 06:00 to avoid any possible queue. After a while, two ladies appear in the shop, one begins putting newspapers onto the shelves whilst ignoring me peering through the glass right next to her.She continues to load the shelves with newspapers nonchalantly, I'm standing just the other side of the large glass window in front of her. They have a little chat.10 minutes! I was waiting before the door was finally unlocked for me to come in.No apology for keeping me waiting. It seemed to me the lady putting the newspapers away had the bad attitude air about her, bigger lady and younger than the one who eventually served me.Disgraceful way to treat a customer!Do you realise how frustrating and annoying it is to get to a shop after the time it's supposed to open, only to be kept waiting outside a locked door while the staff ignore you?Despicable.

I get there at around 10:15, there's a sign up saying they're taking a delivery.I hang around a bit, more people turn up.15 minutes later I come back and one of the people that had been in the queue tells me they were told half an hour. Then someone else tells me they were told 45 minutes. They finally opened around 11:05!Yes, the door was unlocked, sign taken down and the woman just walked back to the till without even opening the door.Pathetic.The younger girl who served me always seems unhappy?By the time it opened there were 10 customers waiting outside, not to mention all the ones who didn't/couldn't wait!

Terrible. Went to get a British Gas top up and refused as the lad had no keys for the post office so I was refused. Absolutely disgusting service.
