Stickler for the rules! Considering my partner has spent thousands of pounds in their shop, they refused to give a credit for an unwanted birthday gift so we could exchange it for something on their website, just because it was outside the 60 days since the purchase date. He thought he was being organised and getting the present early. But Goldsmiths penalised him for it! Now have an unwanted gift and two unhappy customers who won't be returning!

Very happy with the experience in store. Sales assistant, Chloe, was super helpful, and even went as far to to lend me her brolly so I may go and look in the window outside (it was pouring with rain!). Was so helpful, knowledgeable and gave her opinions so gracefully without adding any pressure to the decision at hand. Encouraged me to go and mull it over with a coffee and I was as thus thrilled to be able to speak with her again to make my final purchase. I?m chuffed with my timepiece and would recommend them, the Chelmsford store, and Chloe specifically, to anyone!

In all honesty, GoldSmiths Chelmsford tends to be our first choice / preferred jewellery store as have always been very pleased with the product, service and pricing.Regarding our most recent purchase, the product (other than the item was faulty and needed to be returned to the store for an exchange, which was of course inconvenient) and pricing was of no exception to that, however, very disappointed with the after sales customer service, had it not have been for that, this would have been a five star review.

I purchased a watch from Goldsmiths online and went into their store in Chelmsford to ask them to size the watch bracelet so that it would fit and nothing was too mush trouble despite 3 attempts to get it right. All the staff were friendly and it was a pleasure to be in the store. Thanks to all the Staff at Goldsmiths Chelmsford for their friendly and professional service.

The biggest thank you to Sharon who has saved the day! This afternoon I came in looking for an emergency wedding band due to being very let down by an independent jeweller. Yesterday I received my ring and the quality was just terrible, with less than two weeks to go until my wedding day. I had accepted that I wasn?t going to get my dream wedding ring in time for the big day so would have settled for an alternative but Sharon managed to find almost the exact same ring I had chosen from the independent jeweller, it wasn?t a ring they had out on display and conveniently fit me and I could take away today!The quality is fantastic and the ring is just beautiful and everything I wanted. I am so so happy with the ring, the quality and the service and they even had my engagement ring cleaned whilst I nipped into other shops.Sharon, you have made this stressed out bride to be?s day and I can?t thank you enough!

I was blown away by my experience at Goldsmiths Chelmsford Branch today. From the moment I walked through the door I was greeted by incredibly courteous and professional staff. The store itself was immaculate and very welcoming. Claire who looked after me today, was polite, friendly and made me feel right at home. I would recommend Claire and her colleagues at the Chelmsford store to everyone.

But a disappointment nonetheless with Watches of Switzerland and their Goldsmiths store in Chelmsford.Hi there, I don?t usually post reviews however in this case, it?s a worthy read and to be considered if like me your looking for that special watch.Back in 1998, I bought my 1st watch, a nice Tag Heuer from the Goldsmiths store in Stratford London, I was a very happy young man.In 2021 I visited the Goldsmiths store in Chelmsford, looking to purchase a Rolex Perpetual for my 50th birthday.At the time I was kindly advised that since the watch was in high demand they would take my details and let me know once they had it in store for me, no time frame was given but was advised they would contact me once available.During that time, I had also tried in Harrods, Mappin and Webb~Fenchurch St, Watches of Switzerland~Knightsbridge and Goldsmiths~Lakeside, looking for that special watch.In each I was advised since I had registered at the Chelmsford store I need refer back to them for my desired watch.Since placing my order over 2 years ago, I have received 0 emails, calls or anything from them to give me any progress update or just to say hi, and each quarter, I?ve been dropping into the store and or calling myself to ask when I may hope to receive the watch.I recall the 1st time I called to ask for an update, I was advised though my watch wasn?t available yet, I was kindly offered a Rolex Bi-metallic Daytona, this particular watch being too large for me, I turned it down.Until recently I was always told I was moving up the list but could never be advised if I was 1st or 1000th in that list, this small tiny nugget of information at least gave me some hope, I was even told that most of the clients whom had ordered a watch precovid, had received their watches or would be shortly, and so again this gave me some hope.Recently I called the store for an update where I was told rather strangely but firmly that unless I would produce my passport in store or to send a photo of it via email, I would not receive any watch!This left me very frustrated as I had asked originally for a watch, not an airline ticket.Nonetheless my partner and I were in Chester Cheshire, recently and so dropped into the Mappin and Webb store whilst there, so I could ?prove myself? as I had my drivers license with me.On explaining the situation and producing my license, the in store assistant, perplexed by my request advised that he wouldn?t be able to take my details as it was asked for by another store, but added had I placed my order for the same watch with them, I would?ve received it by now, and that I ought to cancel my original order and place a new one with them.Being somewhat frustrated by all this, I then wrote to the customer care team at Watches of Switzerland, copying in Rolex UK, to follow up as this all began to feel just wrong.I was then contacted by James the deputy manager at the Goldsmiths store in Chelmsford to advise that no, my watch still wasn?t available, that no, he couldn?t tell me where I was on the list and no, he couldn?t tell me if I?d ever get the watch before it?s discontinued, and stunningly that no they wouldn?t ever contact me to reassure or to just keep in touch with me to let me know I?m a valued customer and they are still working hard to secure the watch I had hoped to receive.On being told all this, and after all this time, I told James I no longer wish to make the purchase as the watch appears to be mythical to me.I then wrote back to Watches or Switzerland, again copying in Rolex UK, advising of the outcome but haven?t responded, albeit there isn?t much to say other than ?your still not getting the watch you wanted?After all this time I feel let down and thoroughly disappointed with this attitude and is not what I would ever consider to be good customer service.I feel I have waisted my time over these 2 years and would suggest you look elsewhere (abroad?) for a Rolex watch unless it?s physically in store! and or to consider a different brand.

The shop was immaculate and well-organised, making it easy to browse their stunning selection of jewelry.I had the pleasure of being assisted by Ailsa, who was not only incredibly professional but also incredibly friendly. She took the time to listen to my needs and preferences and offered invaluable advice and guidance. She made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, and her attention to detail was second to none.I left the shop feeling very happy, thanks to Ailsa's expertise and excellent customer service. Absolute shambles
Absolute shambles. Day before I go on holiday I?m due to pick up a watch. I purchased a watch online for collection at the Chelmsford store. Spoke to a customer representative online to check my watch was ready. Received an email telling me it was ready also screen shots of the conversation. Arrive at the shop and they know nothing about it. After 30 minutes of them ringing about they tell me there was a mistake and the watch is in Liverpool and apparently I was flying down to collect it, I live 20 minutes from Chelmsford, the order was placed for delivery in Chelmsford yet it?s in Liverpool. They have the watch I want in stock in Chelmsford but can?t transfer the sale across to this branch even though it?s been paid for. Then told I can purchase it again and then wait for a refund on the original watch so effectively paying out the £4000 twice. YOU ALREADY HAVE MY MONEY! Extremely disappointed and absolutely refuse to spend a penny in Goldsmiths again.

I visited goldsmiths in Chelmsford recently to pick up a watch being serviced.This is one of many visits recently to check up the availability of a Rolex I have on order.Their knowledge and advice in helping me choose this watch was of the highest Standards.
