We purchased a carpet from the Basildon branch for our lounge 18 months ago. When it started to shed fibers they were very good and resolved the issue quickly and without fuss. Their branch manager Mark was very helpful indeed.The fitter was very professional and has done an absolutely splendid job of fitting the replacement.

The only good thing about Carpetright are their fitters, the 1 star of this review goes on-top of the 5 stars I would give to the fitters, Carpetright don't even deserve this 1 star.I've just purchased my first house, and was excited to the replace the Carpet and Laminate that was currently laid. Upon speaking with friends and family, and visiting places like Tapi and Carpetright, I decided to go for LVT as I heard it was a Premium Product, and I'd been recommended Carpetright for their Premium Service. This could not be further from the truth.I went into the store to look at their LVT, decided on one I liked and called the Sales Person over. He took the detail slip out from the LVT, walked us over to his desk, typed out the information on the slip and placed the order. I paid the £500 upfront for the 4 Boxes and was told 1-2 weeks for it to be delivered and the fitters would be in contact... perfect!I arrange the moving company with my furniture for after the LVT fitting date, all seems well right? The day of fitting comes, and the fitters say to me "Lets just check it's the right color as Carpetright have ordered the wrong color in the past"... to which they were correct, the wrong LVT color had been ordered. The fitters did advise me if I was not happy, to return it to Carpetright and get them to order the correct one, which would mean I would have to wait a further 1-2 weeks which I could not do due to the moving company being arranged. Therefore I had no choice but to accept the wrong color.A couple days later I go into the store to complain about this, the Lady there seemed very apologetic and offered me a measly £75 allowance and said "We'll fight your case for you with our Managers!". The next day I receive an email from this Lady stating that apparently it is in Carpetright's T&C's, that the customer has 24hrs to check the order to see if Carpetright have messed it up, and as I did not spot their error, then it's my fault and I'm not entitled to any compensation. To top it off, I had no idea what T&C's they were even referring to. I'd never been shown these, just like I wasn't shown the £39.99 "Making it easy package" they add onto every order without telling you.Upon querying this statement in her email and explaining the circumstances again, her manager replied this time. He simply refused the compensation again and not once did Carpetright take any ownership for them messing up the order. If I had personally ordered the LVT online and it was the wrong color, then I agree that's on me. But this is not the case, I came into the store expecting the Sales Person to be competent enough to not make such a simple mistake.My personal opinion is that it is not down to the customer to ensure that the employees are doing their job correctly, after all, I was paying for a "Premium Service" and I would expect to receive the color I chose.- If you are looking for knowledgeable, attentive, friendly fitters, then Carpetright is the place to go, however if you are looking for any sense of "Customer Service" then I would avoid this place. It's funny how the only good thing about a company, is the one thing that isn't by them, which is the external fitters they use.At least I know any future business I might have I'll be taking elsewhere, and I'll certainly be passing on my experience to anyone who's looking at getting Carpet/LVT with Carpetright.

Bad experience in my life . The guy in the Basildon shop messing up with all measurements for carpet and underlay. I paid £1200 and after they call me to pay an extra £600 because of his mistake. I never go in the Carpetright shops. Runaway from Basildon shop

Lousy rude incompetent fitters left me with creases everywhere and the information that all will be well in 2 weeks . First carpet to arrive had been cut 4 inches short..it just got worse from there....

Basildon, 3 people sat at their desks not one asked if we needed help as we tried to look for carpet. We were there a goof 10mins and left poor customer care won?t be returning.
