When I arrived I was met with a smile and a gentleman who listened to my problem. He then pointed me to the product which be most effective rather than the most expensive, then because of his manner we ended up happily buying more products. Full marks are deserved.

Went in to look for a specific item, couldn't find it so asked a member of staff if they had it. She was so abrupt and rude to me and looked like she really hated her job! Don't take it out on customers..

Five stars all out and as a first time customer after the lockdown pillage of weight, I'd like to give a shout out to the manager who served me today and made my experience as a first time shopper amazing.Spent a total of £30 today on the visit. Didn't really know what I wanted or how to chose what's good and what's not, but decided to just pick random items, shove in a basket, not worry about the cost just enjoy the randomness of shopping .Went to the till and it's rare I crack a smile, but I witnessed the manager giving excellent customer service to the elderly lady in front making her laugh and with my visit, he made my visit great in cracking one liners and joking in a professional way with staff to improve and enhance the customer service and experience.I hope to god the branch in portslade near my residential outlet has this service, but if not I'll be happy to travel to Eastbourne to do another shop.. (cheaper to shop in Eastbourne than Brighton)Store layout clean tidy and well presented and easy to navigate through...Look forward to returning when next in Eastbourne

Absolutely appalled to witness such bad customer service from your supervisor today. A customer asked her a simple question just as she was going into the staff room and her response was ?it?s not like I?m about to go on break or use the toilet or anything? I honestly couldn?t believe it. She proceeded to roll her eyes and just be plain rude. I confronted her and told her she should be ashamed. She told me that she was going on a break.. pardon me but it?s has no interest to us customers whether your about to use the loo or have a sandwich!! You should be helpful and polite especially if you have the title of a supervisor. Seems to me that she abuses her power and really should not be given the title of a supervisor. Never seen a customer assistant speak to customers in this way before.

I visited this store today to purchase some probiotics, cod liver oil malt and some vitamins for my hair growth. Murray the kind gentleman who works in there i find is very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me find the right products for me . Thank you. Also the lady at the till was very patient with helping me claim my loyalty points

I visited this store today. When I took a step backwards to look at some items a member of staff almost knocked me over by pushing some crates just behind me. She followed that up with the comment 'That's what happens when you walk backwards.'

A couple of staff members very helpful but others not so much been across.
Find very dificult to find product, products should be more better identified.

Underwhelmed!
I went to H & B in the Arndale Centre today to look for wheat-free muesli. I noticed that the shop stocks gluten-free muesli but couldn't see one that merely sayd wheat-free.
Looking around for someone to ask, I saw a girl disappear into the private section without as much as looking in my direction and I couldn't see any other staff in the otherwise empty shop.
Not being able to find what I was looking for and not being able to ask anybody, I made my way to the exit. Then I noticed 4(!) staff standing near the till chatting.
I made my displeasure known by saying: "Good customer service - not!" before leaving the store.
I'm in no hurry to return and will be looking for what I require online or in the supermarkets.
PS: I used to work for H & B in Ireland many years ago and at that time, we were under firm instruction to meet and greet customers and to make sure they could find what they came to the store for.
