The most amazing and welcoming pub I have ever visited. The staff are all phenomenal and service is immaculate. They always have interesting events, making it a gem of the local community. An absolute must visit, especially for LGBTQ+ people (although all are welcome as long as you are respectful).Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian pizza availableWheelchair accessibility: Side door with removable ramp

I loved this place. An old pub brimming with wonderful queer joy and talent. Did two femfest events which were both very enjoyable. A cabaret show and a crafting workshop. Staff were lovely! Space limited, but they do their best with being so popular. Will definitely come again!

Saw a play as part of the annual Femfest. The theatre upstairs is simple and functional but has a great atmosphere. The bar downstairs is thoroughly inclusive, vibrant and friendly. I'll definitely go again when next in Brighton.

This one place is the actors.Omg I've not looked back since. This is a fantastic pub with really friendly stuff. Militant trans... We were asked to move tables for people "who had booked" TWICE even though there were no reserved signs - it felt like we were in the wrong for sitting at an open table.... If you're simple folk and straight; avoid, they don't want your kind

A genuinely lovely and lively pub with great staff serving a good range of beers and lagers pizzas are just the thing when you hit that .on your feet in Brighton all day .

Unfortunately, even though there were many things right I'll be avoiding this place. The service was impeccable, good beer, perfect lighting and lovely music. So what was wrong? A coven of aggressive women believing they ran the place because they'd booked a table. At their request the music, that I'd been enjoying, was turned off so they could conduct their meeting whilst sipping peppermint tea.I'd suggest a pub isn't an ideal place for this sort of thing. Especially if you're hell-bent on spoiling the atmosphere for everyone else.Sadly, they're regulars.

I've been visiting The Actors this year on Sundays, to contribute to the weekly open mic night that happens in the back bar.For someone looking to build community connections and break the ice with some insanely talented, kind, and generous people, you could do a lot worse than The Actors. Open and effortlessly queer friendly, this is a space for anyone looking to make friends and broaden their horizons. The pizza is definitely worth a try too.See you Sunday?
