KFC are largely known for their fried chicken and they originated almost 90 years ago, in 1930, were first opened in Kentucky. They are represented, and well-known, for the Colonel Sanders representation.
The KFC menu largely focuses around fried chicken, although there are a selection of sandwiches and burgers available which aren't chicken-based.
As of 2015, there were just under 20,000 KFC locations worldwide and the brand itself has adapted slogans such as "Finger Lickin' Good", a phrase which they are recognised for.
One thing that KFC are known for is keeping their chicken recipe a secret. They have went to the extent of opening lawsuits against individuals who have put their recipe at risk, and continue to do what they can to keep it a secret.
