Friendly and polite staff. Saw the manager, James, being given awful abuse by a couple trying to return an item, but he was polite throughout. Pandemic really has brought the worst out of people.

Today I received the worst customer experience I have ever received. Not only were all the staff exceptionally rude but their manager James was the absolute worst and rudest of them all.I bought a scooter for my grandchild as a gift but realised that the wheel seemed unsafe so decided to return it BEFORE using it. However, the staff including the manager decided to bully me and my husband and completely refused to return the scooter for no reason at all!!! They even started to accuse us of lying saying we had already used the scooter when we clearly stated we had not and there was no evidence that we had!! The way they kept looking at us was completely unacceptable and honestly probably the rudest way anyone has ever looked at us. So incredibly rude.In the end a sainsburys security guard and managers had to intervene and even then the Argos manager James kept refusing to do our return for no reason at all!! After some time the sainsburys managers managed to get us our refund as they could see their was a fault in the scooter.By far the worst customer experience we have ever received from Argos. Incredibly rude and absolutely ruined our whole day. If I could give 0 stars I would.

My experience with this argos is terribly unpleasant. Safe to say that my evening has been ruined, the staff needs to work on their unpleasant behaviour towards customers and the customer service must overall be improved.

The staff members here were very rude and unhelpful, I received lots of attitude and no help. The returns policy is also outrageous. They would not let me return my purchase and with no reasonable justification whatsoever. I will never ever be purchasing from here again.

Always a busy shop, they have most goods that you may want or need, great for gifts,furniture,jewelry, sports equipment etc etc. Overall a great shop with different brands and prices. A good returns policy, happy helpful staff,what more can I say, ARGOS has been going successfully for many years now and I hope for many more.

I had to return an electric shaver that became faulty and I made a claim under the insurance Argos offer. When I went to the Lewes Road store, I was assisted by a very helpful young lady. She couldn't have done enough and had the replacement shaver for me in less than 3 minutes. Excellent, friendly service and one that I'd strongly recommend!!
