“A variety of clothes for all segments of society at reasonable prices. The shop prices have increased over the last year or so but not monstrously so. Slight design changes have also been noticed as I have looked around, like zips now on the pockets of the jogging bottoms, they are also slightly dearer than the none zipped version. But it's still a shop that's worth the time when browsing, I have found the staff to be helpful when I have needed them”

“Always love poor boy and prices are so reasonable for the good quality clothing. However, I experienced disappointing customer service when purchasing an item. The girls that served me were both on their phones before I paid, and when I did there was no sense of welcome or a hello or thank you. This tarnished what would have been a lovely experience. I didn’t expect this from poor boy and it was sad to see. Other than that I always love shopping here.”

“As first time parents looking to buy anything for a baby can be an absolute minefield so me and my partner booked a Buying for Baby session at the Kingston Retail Park in Hull. We was greeted by a gentleman named Matt who is actually the store manager and who was doing our one to one service for us.He was super friendly and polite, but most importantly he was extremely knowledgeable about everything from car seats to prams which helped us to make our decision when purchasing an all in one travel system with pram.He answered all of our questions, talking us through a number of different prams and seats before helping us to make the decision on which one to purchase. He wasn’t pushy or pressuring us (some shops I know are like this) and spent a lot of time talking to us, answering all our questions and really getting to know what it was we was wanting. His knowledge of the products sold themselves and he is a credit to the store.It was also a lovely bonus that because we bought a pram we would be getting a £100 gift voucher to spend too!Thank you Matt!Jasmine & Kye”

There are books on fiction (crime, detective, sci-fi, novels), children books and non-fiction (classics, psychology, sociology, health, faith, Britain, history, poetry, drama, cookery, etc.) books to buy. “I went into the St Stephens, Hull Next store where I was helped by Vicki.I was looking for some trousers, Vicki suggested a certain style which I wouldn't have normally looked at, but I loved them. So much so, that I went back to purchase a second pair. I was again greeted by Vicki, who went above and beyond, looking for the different colours they came in. She ordered them for me online and said they would be in store the following day, Which they were.I felt Vicki went above and beyond and couldn't have been more helpful.I work in customer service and felt Vicki was friendly, honest and knew exactly what would suit me. “I could honestly spend hours in this store. I haven't been for at least 2 years to the Hull branch and I was like a kid in a candy shop. The store is huge and well set out . It's really clean too. The queue for the tills are a bit daunting, but to be fair the wait wasn't that bad. The homeware department is lovely and I spent ages choosing new baby clothes for our impending new grandchild.I would definitely recommend a look around.”
