We were given a room on the ground floor, the room was clean and presentable. We were in Stockton following a close family bereavement and to visit a friend for her birthday, we took the opportunity to see a show at the Globe on the Friday evening planning to stay the Saturday to see our friends and watch the 6 nations locally. We returned to the hotel after the show and went to the Beefeater next door for a nightcap. Staff there were very friendly and welcoming.Walking back to the room, we were a little disturbed to see fire extinguishers removed from their holders and placed as an obstruction to the corridor fire doors. I removed these and placed them to one side, so as not to be an obstruction in case of emergency. We retired to our room and then to bed.Just before 2 am, we were woken by raised voices and shouting from the room next door, exacerbated by the interconnecting door to ours, it calmed but started again just after 2 am.I rang reception but no-one answered, so we both had to get dressed to go to reception to report the incident, as I wasn't leaving a lady on her own in such a situation. Leaving the room, we were greeted by an overwhelming smell of "weed", again not conducive to a pleasant stay.At reception we met Youseff and reported our issues, we requested a room change, and although this was granted, we feel it was a little reluctantly done. On reporting the fire extinguisher situation, we were told, yes we are aware of it, if they were aware of it, why wasn't something actioned, as the fire extinguishers had not been removed to their correct positions by the following morning, this severely impacted on our sense of safety for the remainder of the stay.We returned to our room and were followed by Michael who was on patrol, on arriving at our room, he just put his ear to the door of the room next door and took no further action. After moving all our luggage, without assistance, we eventually got to sleep after 3am, impacting badly on our plans for the following day meaning that rather than watching the 6 nations in a sports bar we had to watch the final game in our room, itself disturbed by a child running up and down the corridor and woken by the same the next morning.Leaving the room in the morning, once again we were greeted by an overall stench of "weed". My friend suffers with ME and Fibromyalgia, with an allergy to smoke, which increases her pain levels. There would seem to be a distinct acceptance of the weed situation by the staff, and that they are not prepared to do anything about it, just as they were aware of the fire extinguishers but chose to do nothing about it Not sure if the weed issue would be classed as being reportable to the authorities, but working in Health and Safety myself, I know I'll be raising an issue with Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council regarding the fire extinguishers and public safety. The hotel is now showing signs of age and is in need of improvement, access or egress is a major issue with the best description of the ground floor, being a labyrinth.Overall, what should've been a calming escape from a recent situation resulted in an utterly disappointing experience.Would have added photos, but why would I waste space on my phone?0 Stars

Premier Inn standards, clean tidy, room was a trek, even more so after a few scoops.Beefeater next to it for mixed breakfast. Dinner of fish chips and peas was very nice, followed down with a pint of Doombar.

Stayed at this particular premier inn on a few occasions and as usual it's fantastic. Very welcoming staff, immaculately clean and everything a night away should be. Well done

Man, Rm44 is such a far walk from Reception it would make any Witherspoon's toilet feel like a wee stroll, rooms are Premier standard, staff are pleasant, friendly yet Professional. Handy stop off, location works well for Teeside and surrounding area ... Apart from feeling like I was in some weird ever increasing corridor jaunt every time I left my room, swear I walked round in 2 circles, over a bridge, down a bank and up a hill .. ? I didn't but it's a healthy walk pmsl.. couldn't fault it any other way.

So disappointed with our experience at this hotel. It was booked so that my husband and I could welcome in the New Year 2024 with my father in law. Firstly we had problems with our room bookings but staff were helpful and these were resolved and we received an upgrade in one room booking. We went to the Beefeater next door and were told by the manager that the bar closed at 11 and the door would be closed at 11.30 on New Year's Eve which was really disappointing as the main aim of our visit was to celebrate the incoming of the New Year with my father in law. We investigated options and ended up at the Hilton Hotel which was very nice, but meant my husband could not share an alcoholic drink to toast the New Year. When we drove back to the Premier Inn after 12.30 we were very surprised to see people leaving the Beefeater. I spoke to the manager who was very rude to me and told me to stop being so miserable. I find this attitude totally unacceptable. She was adamant when we originally spoke to her that the doors would be locked at 11.30 on New Year's Eve. The whole point of our booking was that we would be on location to celebrate the incoming of the New Year.

Room was very clean and tidy though it was a route march from reception.Sadly interaction with whoever checked us in was limited to here's your key and turn left through the door. Didn't ask if we'd stayed before, do we want breakfast or evening meal in the attached Beefeater.Located on the near the Tees Barrage it's very close to Teeside Shopping Park and both Stockton or Middlesbrough are a short ride away.

Friendly welcoming staff, lovely sized room, quite. Would have given 5 stars, but the shower was awful - no water pressure at all.
