Went into Tesco Billingham and came out feeling absolutely fed up. The staff on self checkout today were the most unhelpful, disinterested bunch I have ever encountered at Tesco. Normally I find the staff pleasant and happy to help, but not today. I'm not one who usually leaves reviews, but this experience really got to me. When you are pleasant and polite and you get that attitude in return, it's like a slap in the face. Horrible!

Ah, dear sirs and ladies of refined taste, allow me to recount my most recent foray into the realm of commerce, specifically the esteemed emporium known as Billingham Tesco. Verily, the experience did yield moments of amusement, yet I cannot, in good conscience, bestow upon it more than a meager two stars, for reasons that shall soon become evident.Upon entering this establishment, I was immediately greeted by an array of commodities the likes of which would astound even the most intrepid explorer. However, it soon became apparent that the denizens of this modern marketplace do possess a peculiar sense of fashion. One fellow, with his trousers sagging in a manner reminiscent of a ship's sails losing their rigging, seemed quite convinced that his ankles were indeed a sight to behold. I confess, I could not help but suppress a chuckle at his apparent unawareness of this sartorial misstep. But the pièce de résistance, my dear compatriots, was the captivating performance put forth by a gentleman who fancied himself a master of the melodious arts. With an instrument bearing an uncanny resemblance to a squashed pumpkin, he endeavored to produce a symphony that defied the very laws of harmony. The discordant strains emanating from his efforts elicited both bewilderment and a certain measure of pity from the surrounding populace, myself included.Furthermore, it appears that a fad of conversing loudly with invisible confidantes has taken root amongst the clientele. One cannot help but marvel at the extent of this phenomenon, as it would appear that the air itself serves as a telephonic device for these peculiar exchanges. Indeed, the ingenuity of the modern age knows no bounds.Alas, as I embarked upon my exit, a most curious incident transpired involving an altercation over the last remaining jar of pickled cucumbers. It seems that two gentlemen, both possessing an affinity for preserved gourds, engaged in a most impassioned debate, which culminated in a vigorous contest of arm-wrestling. I must confess, dear readers, that I departed the scene posthaste, lest I too become entangled in this peculiar skirmish. In conclusion, my sojourn to Billingham Tesco did not disappoint in terms of comedic entertainment provided by the intriguing members of the public. However, the grandeur and elegance befitting a noble aristocrat such as myself were regrettably absent from this establishment. Thus, I reluctantly extend a rating of two stars, with the caveat that one may indeed encounter a spectacle quite unlike any seen within the hallowed halls of society.

On Tuesday the 7th of this month I requested £20.00 from the ATM machine at Tesco, Leeholme Road Billingham I foolishly removed my debit card but left the £20 in the machine. I couldn't get back to Tesco until today. the 10th and I did not expect to see the £20 again but your staff on the cigarette counter were more than helpful, in particular a rather plump lady who couldn't do enough for me and after a short wait she produced the £20. the I was sure was lost. I would like to express my gratitude to her for her help

Lots of the shelves were emptyThe staff are friendly and helpful however the prices are rising and food sizes are getting smaller.Maybe the shareholders should think of their customers and not their profits with this cost of living crisis

Ordered Travel money. No telephone option to confirm availability with Tesco customer services other than going to the store!!The call options have you running round in circles, clearly customer services do not want to be contacted by customers via telephone.
