We camped here during the last week of July. The campsite is located at the very top of the caravan site so prepare for a very steep climb. There is a large camping field which is on the site of a former quarry therefore the ground is very uneven, so don't expect many flat areas to pitch. Unfortunately, there was a dreadful storm on the first night which caused damaged to several tents. Clearly, this is not the fault of the campsite, however due to its landscape, it made it almost impossible to drive as the ground turned to mud. The toilets and showers were adequate. Could do with some recycling bins on the camping area as opposed to the caravan site. Be warned, there is no electrical hookup on the campsite

We arrived here early for a stay during the summer holidays. Our caravan was ready an hour early which we were advised by text. The seaside 3 pet friendly caravan was spotless and perfect for our family of 6 and a dog. Reception were lovely each time we visited to use the small shop inside and were great with the children. We had one issue where our toaster tripped the electric but maintenance arrived within 15 minutes and replaced the toaster for a new one and got the electric back up and running. The site was only a 15 minute walk into Swanage town centre and beach which we did daily. Would definitely return.

First, I want to start by saying the maintenance/ handyman at Swanage coastal park during our stay is an absolute asset to you and is possibly the friendliest maintenance guy I have ever encountered whilst away. In fact, he was so nice I was unsure I wanted to leave my actual review. However, I didn't see many reviews when looking for one myself. We were told our lodge was ready a whole 1.5 hours earlier than expected, and we were told via text- amazing! On arrival, our lodge was by far one of the better in the area, the *6 birth hot tub lodge* the view from the hot tub on the veranda was absolutely stunning, even with some heavy fog! The hot tub itself was at a slant, which gave my anxiety something to worry about! We were left with an old used bbq and a few dead and alive bugs, some crumbs and hairs, as well as general dirt in the fridge and kitchen area, there was a little dish, which looked a lot like the ones we would normally find a few teabags, coffee, sugar and milk pots in, but instead, there were a few little hairs and a layer of dust. Delightful. I had a shower in the en-suite, and the shower tray filled with dirt, and there appeared to be a blockage. I had to get out of the shower as it was either freezing cold or scolding hot. But when I saw the dirt that was coming from the plug and added that with everything else I had seen, it was then I decided to call the number on the wall for the reception. The lady who answered was apologetic and lovely! I was presently surprised at how lovely she was as I didn't want to seem like I was being a 'Karen'. Then the absolutely amazing maintenance man arrived- with a cleaner?. This is where it all went downhill for me! The cleaner didn't even acknowledge me with so much as a smile or a hello. Asked abruptly what the issue was, and I explained- the fridge first. Hairs, crumbs and general dirt. When I finished showing her, she said, "We'll take everything out then so I can clean it" which I did. I also took this opportunity to ask if this little dish with dirt and hairs in was, infact, meant to contain some tea, coffee etc. She said it was but "only 3 sachets" and she would go and get us some "if we are gonna use it, " I said not to worry. However, it really wasn't the point!! I said I had hoped for a little better as we had paid quite a lot, she scoffed and said "Well I don't know how much you paid" which again wasn't really the point, but summer holidays and lodges aren't cheap! The maintenance guy finished unblocking the shower and getting rid of the Alive and dead bugs. He left and said, "Please, please don't let this ruin your holiday; I really hope it doesn't", and was absolutely amazing. The cleaner scoffed as he said this. Clearly, she wasn't impressed by his niceness! She asked if the cleaning she had done was acceptable and also mentioned her cleaning girls must have Just missed a bit- absolutely not a problem, I Just wish we hadn't been allowed in 1.5 hours early to allow the place to be cleaner! She said to let her know if there was anything else as she now has to go a write a report about this ( clearly very angry at me). I apologised again. But I showed her some red food marks on the kitchen doors. She left and tried to tell me nearly the same as the maintenance man about not letting it ruin our holiday, but this had no conviction! She left, and I went to start putting things back in the fridge but got an overwhelming smell of urine, so I asked my husband and kids. Maybe it was me. But no, we all smelt it. So I just used my extra strong anti-bac wipe and cleaned it again. We were looking for plug sockets one day as the double bedroom seemed like the furniture was too big for the room; we couldn't really walk around the bed, we pulled out the little drawer unit, and it was covered in dust; I did the same in another room and found some old clothes and a layer of dust. We went to use the oven once, but the overwhelming smell of gas put a st

We stayed in a beautiful two-bedroom signature lodge with hot tub. Everything was provided well equipped kitchen. You do need to take towels for use in the hot tub and on the beach. There was even a starter pack, consisting of washing up liquid cloth, washing up, tablets etc. Mike and Justin, the estates guys were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely go back again. The only criticism I have is that the bed mattresses are hard in the twin room and it is not a double bed in the double room. It is two singles pushed together. They are also small singles, which for a week is okay!

Absolutely lovely caravan, really spacious kitchen and lounge, beautiful view across the bay. Realistically the walk into central swanage is 40 minutes, the hills are very steep to the site, our small engined car struggled and so did we! The majority of eateries close by 7.30 Monday to Wednesday, strongly recommend booking beforehand. Also had a problem with availability of taxis after 7pm! Local bus service is excellent, would recommend shorefield, second holiday with this company and very satisfied.

Very very hilly and no amenities on site at all but a beautiful view and a great caravan. Very modern. Unfortunately the beds let it down as they were so soft

I don?t want to go into this review completely negative. The views, area and park itself was clean, beautiful and had lots to do close-by.However, when we checked in at around 4pm only some of our party had arrived. We went in to check out our caravan and there was a noticeable smell of urine. We located the smell to being in one or two of the back bedrooms. The others arrived moments later and we went to let the park receptionist know. We had a dog within our party, who hadn?t even been taken in to the caravan yet and I don?t know if the housekeeper meant to but it felt as though she was insinuating our dog had done it within minutes of arriving, but it wasn?t said directly to us.Housekeeping must have picked up on the smell when cleaning, prior to us arriving. While we were there, the lady located the smell to the carpet in the main bedroom - it was human wee. She was clearly as distressed as us and put her hand in it. She tired to clean it (which she shouldn?t of had to be put through) and left us some fabric air freshener. We went out for the evening and hoped it would be better. But it actually smelt worse. We had to ask for the carpets to be cleaned the next day - which didn?t make much of a difference either. We asked to be transferred to another caravan on or off the park - we were willing to move completely. We wasn?t offered a refund and couldn?t sleep in that part of the caravan and felt dirty the whole time we were there. As well as other things not being at a standard we would have hoped for, it ruined our stay with them.Staff were friendly and luckily we booked through Hoseasons and they were extremely helpful. It was caravan number 6 (Triefte) - incase anyone has the pleasure of staying and having the same issue, because it still isn?t smelling great. It?s a shame and I feel if housekeeping picked up on it, which there?s no way you could have missed that, we should have been told before arriving and should of had the option to cancel the stay for a refund. We definitely would not have stayed. The views and Corfe castle are picturesque ?.Hopefully it was an unfortunate one off for this holiday park but it was grim.

Stayed at Swanage coastal Park between 19/5 - 22/5/23 at number 6 seascape rdlovely area and quick walk into town with nice pubs and loads of facilitiesCaravan at first sight was clean but unfortunately within minutes of getting in the problems started to be seen, mainly being a wet patch in the double room that had made all the rooms smell of wee which made the room unusable which meant that two adults had to sleep on the sofa. When reporting they seem unphased by it, they got a cleaner round that sprayed air fresher on it , which didn?t do anything and after I said to carpet clean the area they did which didn?t do much either.Park was unable to move us and just gave option of dealing with it or go home for a partial refund. We contacted hoseason?s which was more helpful but by time we got to any chance of solution it was late Saturday and no option of moving us anywhere else mainly caused by the parks delay.Would definitely stay in the area again but would not go back to this park.

We stayed in one of the hot tub lodges and it was beautiful. We can?t thank TRACEY the house keeping manager enough. The lodge had lightbulbs that didn?t work, and a door that wouldn?t lock but she got it resolved and was truly delightful.

Great campsite. We spent 5 nights here during the heatwave, when we arrived (on the Wednesday) it was really quiet, finding a suitable pitch was very easy (although most of the site is on an incline). The views were amazing looking out towards Swanage bay, the on-site facilities were basic but what you expect from a no thrills campsite (generally clean however there?s only soo much you can do when people aren?t clean), we met a lot of lovely people here and our daughters had an amazing time and made lots of friends.Swanage sea front is a good 30 minute walk away (although be prepared coming back as it?s all uphill), we opted to take the car after walking the first day.My only minor criticism is that they should limit the amount of adults per booking (like many other campsites), as there was a group of teens who were up getting drunk all night being loud and annoying (quite a few people were annoyed with them). All in all, a great site and we?ll happily be back next year.
