Was forced to come over to this branch as the one in Ringwood two miles from my home is closed for two days per week now and some money I had been waiting for turned up just before I was due to fly back to The Bahamas and Ferndown is a better drive to get to than Bournemouth. It cost me more to get here but better than leaving the money not paid in for the air ambulance and other. The member of staff that served me was very good and everything was sorted out. There is not much parking in Ferndown but the parking is better than in Ringwood.Thank you.

Wanted to open an ISA only one till open and one girl in office who wasn't able to help because she was "on the computer " . I can't stand for long so telephoned to ask for an appointment and was told to just call in next week when they aren't so busy. Won't be bothering, will go to Lloyd's. Have been a saver for years with Portman and Nationwide, will review that now. And,if busy is 2 customers, heaven help us.

Been with nationwide for over 30 years and I can say they were a good company to deal with but not anymore I?m afraid , you can never get hold of anyone and feels like we have been abandoned now.

Never any issues with our friendly local branch. Came across this low star rating when checking opening times ( assuming these are correct now ) and amazing to see how three reviews leave a poor rating - perhaps people should make an effort to leave a rating for good service too. Just saying. ?

Lovely staff, doing their best with the Covid situation.

Thank you to Tracy for helping with my needs. Customer service here is far ahead of the big banks. The COVID restrictions are a bit overkill given the laws have just been downgraded.

I too have had bad experiences at this branch. I mostly do online banking, but on the odd occasion I?ve had to visit, the service is poor.1) I wanted to add my husband to my current account, was given all the forms, but on return to branch was told it couldn?t be done during the pandemic crisis! As I was doing this just in case I was taken ill during the crisis, it seemed ludicrous and at odds with the situation!2) I needed some £1 coins. The branch only had 9 (?) While I was pondering how else I was going to be be able to give my grandson the £1 per day he needed for school, the cashier asked why I was ?pulling a face?! How rude!3) I think it?s about time Nationwide opened for normal hours again. How can children access their money in pass-book accounts, when they are at school between 9 and 3!?4) Children should be allowed to open accounts with atm cards in branch. Not all kids have the wherewithal to open accounts online or over the phone and most children under 16 do not have ID or proof of address! My grandchildren do not have passports.I?ve been with Nationwide since the early 90?s and have never before been unhappy. What has happened?

Very unpleasant experience. On my previous visit I was obviously given wrong information. When I explained what I wanted I was told emphatically that, no, I could not do that. I could not hear all that was being said owing to loud voices at the next desk. Face masks make lipreading impossible. The staff member came from behind the counter, gestured for me to remain where I was, and then went to speak to another staff member who was in the glass-fronted office. They manouvered a portable screen to the office door and the first staff member beckoned me forward. I had only taken two steps when she rudely snapped for me to 'Keep my distance.I am elderly and have not the least desire to be near anybody. After lengthy discussion, the second staff member explained that I could do what I wanted by filling in a form and posting it. She then went to find said form. She was gone a long time. All this had taken fifteen minutes. As she failed to reappear I decided to leave. Neither staff member apologised.I spoke to a male staff member asking him to tell her I could wait no longer and that I'd had a complete wasted journey. He did apologise. All the unpleasantness was totally unnecessary. I do not wish to return to this branch.Elsie Hincks is a pseudonym.

First time we have been in the bank since March and lockdown.Have just paid money in by other means .Did have to wait outside in the queue. But it was well managed by a member of staff. And I didnt feel unsafe.Once inside. It was very organised. With till spaced apart . So definitely have a 2 meter gap.Lady that service me was helpfull and very efficient. So no complaints and well done nationwide.

We visited the Ferndown branch today. The staff were brilliant at helping to sort a couple of problems for us. The cashier couldn't have been more helpful or efficient.

I came in today to get a print out of my account. Happy to wait in the queue but once inside was spoken to soo badly. The lady working at Till 3 was nothing but rude! She shouted at me to stay behind the line, I was. She then asked for proof of ID because my signature had faded, this again I understand but to be spoken to soo rudely is not necessary.I appreciate it is a stressful time for everyone but there is no need to be so rude.

After queuing down the street as only 2 people in the bank at one time. I was the next one to go in, however the member of staff who was controlling the area let a lady from the back of the que in before me who was waiting for the cashpoint as well as me. The member of staff was aware of this so today i feel i recieved very very poor service today

This is a cool bank. Music, sofas bright airy. This is 21st banking. It actually got radio Nationwide radio.
