Reasonably priced supermarket focusing on frozen food. As usual with Iceland, the staff are welcoming.

My elderly mother is not technically gifted but wanted to leave a review for this store. She was going to send it as a letter to the store manager but I thought it would save her some stress if I type out her letter as a Google review:I have been ordering Iceland since covid in 2020. I live in Wimborne and believe the drivers are based in Ferndown high street store. The store has never set a foot wrong, previously. There was a specific number of drivers that work the shift I usually order on.I want to firstly say a massive thank you over the years to a few drivers who have always made my experience pleasant. One is a lady driver I have had a few times I believe her name is Lindsey. She is always very polite and has a big smile which is contagious. Secondly Thomas has delivered my shopping mostly which is also a pleasure and I'm sure he's fed up of my risqué jokes when he delivers to me (I don't get many young lads coming to visit!). Lastly I am so sorry I misremember his name but some mornings a larger gentleman delivers to me who is also very helpful and polite. Please understand I mean larger gentleman in the most lovingly way.Now that I have sung the praises my most recent delivery has really left me upset. It's not like an old Irish girl like me to get upset over silly things. However, I am partially disabled. I find it very hard to manoeuvre the shopping bags that you now use. Every other driver mentioned above does not even quibble when I request the shopping to be placed into the kitchen for me.A few weeks ago a new face delivered to me. As usual I politely requested some help with the shopping bags and moved back from the door maybe prematurely expecting the driver to pop inside and place the bags in the kitchen as usual. However, no. This time was different. The driver explained to me that they were not insured to enter our property and that he would not be putting his job at risk by doing this. It was the tone of voice that upset me mostly. Even is this is true, why did no other drivers even query this?It left me red faced and upset. I let the driver place them on the doorstep and I went out into the rain to request my neighbour to help me with the shopping. Thank the lord I have very supportive neighbours otherwise the shopping would've been left in the rain all day until my son visits. After this situation, I ordered once again this week hoping it would be a drivers face I lovingly recognise so I could get some clarity or support, but no. It was the same gentlemen. I didn't dare request the shopping to go to the kitchen this time to save face.I popped into the store this week for the first time in a while. I learned that a new manager is in charge of the store and new drivers have been recruited and some have left. I am so deeply upset about this. As a company you should do all you can to try and keep the diamonds employed with you. I haven't mentioned the name of the driver who has upset me as I couldn't bare to have anything bad happen due to my review. Maybe from my review you won't be able to indentify him. However, if you do one thing, please teach him some customer service skills. It has affected me so much I am not going to make anymore Iceland online orders. I use Ocado now. It's never the same drivers which is sad for me. However, at least the help with my shopping. It was good whilst it lasted. Thank you for the happy memories Iceland.

Walked past two members of staff 'manager' complaining to a colleague how he had to pull a member of staff up and remind him he was the manager. Followed by no one on the tills had to search for them to be told just coming and then no apology for being kept waiting, the staff member was polite enough apart from that. You may have other jobs to do instore but the awareness should be on the till. No greeting from the two gas bagging and to be honest he made himself look ridiculous complaining like that to what could only be a general assistant. Not professional at all at a manager level and it would put anyone off thinking to work there.

Asked the assistant to find out if they had a product out the back as none on the shelf. She was unable to ask as she was alone on the shop floor and didn't want to leave the til understandably. All other staff members were upstairs she said. Surely this can't be safe for this staff member to be so isolated. If there had been an emergency of any kind, what would she do? She had no way of getting helpVery unsatisfactory!
