“Had a great stay..very relaxing..Spa was the best I have ever used..lovely hot steam room..really hot..Had a cheaper room which was nice...nice complimentary Gin and Tonic and all baths stuff....Nice Touch.....Only gripe...parking is limited....noisy at the front, late night, with staff moving crates and drunk guests and cars driving past. Cooked breakfast could be a little bigger..maybe 2 sausages or more beans?..Will stay again despite the minor gripesRooms: Nice comfy beds.....Good size....fridge!Nearby activities: Great walks to Harbour and along beach to High Cliff Castle”

“Went with a couple of friends for an afternoon tea and the food was delicious.I dont think I've had such tasty sandwiches and the scones with clotted cream and jam were amazing. The staff were very friendly and attentive and I dont think my tea cup or champagne glass were empty at any point during our lunch.I would highly reccomend The Lord Bute, it looks beautiful inside and out and the food was amazing!”

“Generally good, rooms clean, staff friendly. The air conditioning/heating in the rooms is centrally controlled, which is rather annoying, having to go to reception to switch between air con and heating. The shower is not great, scalding hot or freezing cold. Very hard to get a sensible temperature, that didn't fluctuate.Breakfast in the pub was good and staff attentive.Rooms: Clean and tidy with all advertised amenities provided. As mentioned in the main review, Air Conditioning and heating is centrally controlled from reception. You can change the temperature but not the mode. If the room is too hot you cannot cool it, unless the mode is changed by reception. If you ask at reception to have the air con put on, they can do that, but that disables the heating function.Ideally you could have the room cool at night and warmer in the day. But this would require trips to reception throughout the day to change mode.It would be much easier if the controls were set to automatic mode. Then you could freely adjust the temperature.I find this in most Premier Inn hotels, you are either too hot or too cold. You end up going to reception to adjust it.The shower will suddenly go cold or hot and you can't seem to get a consistent temperature. Would benefit from a thermostatic control.Walkability: Good walkability to Highcliffe itself and a good choice of shops were available.Food & drinks: Food and drink in the pub are good quality and priced reasonably. Staff friendly.”

“The hotel is nicely situated in Christchurch town centre. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and bed comfy. This was exactly what we needed for our stay - there was also enough room (though the room was smaller than some Travelodge family rooms we have stayed in) to put up 2 medium sized dog crates and still be able to move around easily. The only downside for us was that there is a height restriction of 1.9m on the car park mentioned on the Travelodge website and our 4x4 is 2.0m height in its current configuration. There is, however, The Fountain car park just round the corner (about 100m away) that allows parking up to 24hrs. We used that and were very happy.”
